"I took my 3 year old here and though it seemed ok at first, after about a month, she came home with LICE!!! We had to buy so much lice shampoo and had to get all the bedsheets and couches cleaned. It was so disgusting. I reported it to the staff and they apologized but I decided to take my 3 year old out of there. A daycare is supposed to be SAFE and CLEAN. After this incident made me lose my faith in daycares and Im more hesistant now about putting my next kid on the way to a daycare if I have to return to work. Sad."
"I have a really bad cold and when I contacted Kama’aina Kids to report that my son will be late.. I spoke to CHAVETTE and told her repeatedly that I’m sick, and why I was calling.. she did not care to ask questions to confirm what teacher and student I was calling for to confirm.. instead she just laughed and acted carelessly over the phone. I reported her to my sons family advocate."
"The site is clean and secure. My child (1 year old) did not like it there, it was not a good fit. Left her there for 2 weeks to see if things would get better but she was very unhappy, not eating the food they provided (policy prohibits outside food unless approved by a doctor), not sleeping well at nap times..overall she was very unhappy day after day. I took her out, agreed to pay for the whole month, but was told because I didn't give 30 days notice I would be charged for the next month too. I think this policy puts too heavy of a burden on families. I think 2 weeks notice is sufficient. Especially since I was told during my initial site visit that the spots fill up fast. I give 3 stars instead of one because some of the staff are kind and friendly, and the director seemed to try to accommodate us. I can't blame the site director for the overall policies of the organization."
