"service here was phenomenal. definitely worth going earlier than sunset to be able to see the water while having dinner. all items are very filling even though they are small. everything is priced accordingly, definitely not cheap but worth the price. everything feels made with intention which makes dinner. only thing i didn’t like were the drinks… i was expecting high quality drinks but all drinks tasted watered down! all staff were extremely nice, even the valet had food suggestions!!"

If you’re looking to spend less money on food, the Orchid is not for you. However, if you looking for a nice restaurant on the beach that also has outstanding food and service, then you have found the perfect experience…. Enjoy!"

"December 2023: Celebrated New Year's Eve here for dinner. They offered a tasting menu dinner that was quite impressive. There were five small plates including dessert. My favorites were the beef tenderloin and the dessert, which was an elaborate concoction served on a white chocolate edible dish. The flavors of strawberry, vanilla mascarpone gelato and cake was delicious. Service was very friendly and attentive. The view was great too. Meal was $240 per person! Pricey but understandable for the food, view and service."

"We chose to do brunch here on the morning of my husband’s birthday and it was our last day at the hotel. Orchids is an upscale restaurant situated at Halekulani Hotel. It is on the ground floor, has a beautiful decor and nice vibe. We were booked for 10am and it’s already busy. Booking is essential. While having brunch, guests were entertained with live music on the background. There was a pianist playing on the grand piano which placed on the left side of the entrance. That was very entertaining and created a lovely atmosphere. Their buffet brunch has a good selection of food. The oysters were so plump and juicy. Roasted prime rib and turkey were cooked to perfection. So moist and tender. I also tried their popovers which is similar to Yorkshire pudding. But I must say we were a little disappointed. The food was lacking in taste and flavour especially the crab legs. Also for the price, we expected for a better spread. This is my opinion. People don’t have to agree with me. In contrast, their desserts were delicate and delicious. Halekulani coconut cake is the best. Staffs were all very attentive and efficient."
