"We had a brilliant time at the Hanalei Spirits Distillery. Our hosts were friendly and welcoming and the grounds were beautiful. However, the star of the show was clearly the spirits they produce. In our travels around the world, we regularly visit different local producers to sample their products. We often buy a bottle or two, but this is often as much to thank the owner for the visit as it is because we like their product. Here at Hanalei, we found ourselves checking the travel limits for the flight back to the mainland. All the products were delightful, but the star of the show was the dark rum. One caution: they don’t have distribution on the mainland, so you will need to return to restock. Highly recommended. I will definitely return when I come back to Kauai."
"One of the best craft distilleries we have ever visited. Vindi and Grant were able to fit us in after some cancellations, which was amazing. Farm is eden, they clearly work very hard on it. The spirits were varied and incredible. Simply won't find this elsewhere or from a larger mass production outfit. All 3 rums were brilliant, the gin is bright and tasty, and the Okolehao has to be experienced. Will go back and will definitely be on the look out for the Hanalei label."
"I have always loved Hanalei spirits and finally came to the distillery for a tour. The tour was fantastic and learned quite a bit. Also includes a fun tasting after the tour and you can purchase whatever you like! Highly recommended as a great visit that doesn't take all day!"
"Vindi, Grant, and tutu were the epitome of hospitality during our tour. Of the two distilleries we visited in the island, this was not only the friendliest, but the most informative and an amazing value! They clearly care about the spirits they are producing and experience visitors have to their location. Our favorites were the dark rum, tutu's gin, and the pineapple rum all of which we brought home to the mainland! Hopefully we can come back to visit again on a future trip and really hoping the expand their west coast distribution to Washington state."
