Reviews of Trapped in Tahoe
"We almost made it out!!! This was a great escape room it gave me a few jumps. Lol the girl who helped set up was chill and very helpful."
"Have done two rooms now with Trapped in Tahoe. Both experiences have been amazing!! Really clever puzzles and room setups. Will definitely be doing all the rooms."
"Great escape room ! We did the polar express and is was so well thought out. Plus - they use new technology that makes it even more fun. We are new to escape rooms (this was our second one) so we should have asked for more hints. I was very happy with this - wish we had time to do the other ones they have"
"I wasn't going to leave a narrative review, but I was surprised to see a one star review about the train room as the first one. We also did the train room, with four adults and four kids. We didn't get out, but had a great time. My own kids said it was their favorite part of our trip (second to going up the gondola, which is not exactly apples to apples). The staff member (or owner, I have no idea) was very friendly. The room was well done, and even the things we missed made complete sense in retrospect. My main criticism is that I would drop the digital "device" part and just do that analog (I'm not giving anything away, it's in the intro video). I have one other very minor thing to point out, but there's no way to do it without spoilers. To respond to the one star commenter, I wouldn't want a clue to start. If you did, that's why you have a walkie-talkie and unlimited clues. In fact, one of our party wanted to ask for a starting clue, but we decided not to - it was found within a few minutes by one of our kids, and the significance recognized by another of the kids immediately. (Please don't take that as meaning it's easy - we missed some things and didn't escape, but the excitement of the kids finding the first part was well worth it!)"
"Did the train escape room on the night of July 24. The props were great, the rooms done nicely but unfortunately, overall, our experience was deserving of only one star. Went with my mom and 3 older sisters. We were excitedly anticipating this, and unfortunately it fell short of our expectations. Having two of us have previously done multiple escape rooms, we thought we had a fairly good idea what to expect. However, trapped in Tahoe, does things a bit differently…. First of all the employee that helped us went through the instructions very fast, and never stopped to ask if we had any questions. When you walked out of room & started the timer, not one of us had any understanding where to start. We also only had one dead flashlight. We finally got going, and it was very involved to say the least. I honestly have no idea how anyone would ever figure all the stuff out to get out and escape. Definitely left something to be desired as far as the experience of an escape room & most definitely as far as the host. If you do this escape room, make sure you ask for clues immediately and throughout, because without, you will probably never get through ."
