"Where to begin? During my initial consultation with Dr tomita I found him to be unable to answer specific questions, impersonal, aloof & dismissive. I was not informed of the lengthy amount of time I would be contacted back to schedule my procedures. I had to call them to inquire why I hadn't got a call back. Told me insurance delays but the very next day, I was called to make my appts. During my first ultra sound, the tech was undiplomatic and also aloof. Every time I have seen him, his scrubs look like he's just pulled them out from his couch cushions. Their automated text reminders wanted to confirm an appt on Maui that didn't exist plus I'm on the big island. I was never informed of the pain that the procedures would inflict or for how long they would last. During the procedure the doctor didn't warm me a moment before a cut, so I flinched almost causing harm. My pcp was so concerned of how my entire leg reacted that he sent a photograph to Dr tomita and to my knowledge has to never responded to. I changed a phone call app with tomita to a physical appt and it wasn't even tomia who saw me, but I did see him in the office! The p.a. that did see me prescribed anti-inflamitories with a steroid. I asked the office to immediately send the rx to my pharmacy because I was heading to pick it up directly after my appt. They said they had. It wasn't at the pharmacy. It wasn't until the next afternoon and only after I had to call the office that the rx was sent to my pharmacy. During the call to confirm my rx was at the pharmacy, the girl said that antibiotics and steroids was prescribed. I told her the p.a. said anti-inflamatories and not antibiotics. The girl told me that, whatever the p.a. and I had discussed but also insisted that antibiotics had been prescribed. The p.a. could not be reached. Lack of information and communication, if not basic knowledge of medicine by the office staff is evident. I am going to the pharmacy right now to pick up my mystery meds. Needless to say, I won't be having any procedures done there ever again. I am unbelievably disappointed with pacific vascular institute kona if not angry with them for their all-inclusive incompetence."
