"I was hoping to avoid writing this review but now I have no other options. It's beyond frustrating. I gave 1 star because installers were amazing! Here are the facts and timeline of this job. Order finalized 10/26/23 and signed. Shelli did design and measurements - she spent hours at our home to lay it all out. I was told 8-10 weeks by her on install date. 1/4/24 I had to send a second email asking about install because at this point its been about 10 weeks. 4 days later got a reply. So finally 2/22 is install date and thats 17 weeks after order. Additionally I was told 1 set of doors back ordered. The scheduler was suppose to call me a week before install to confirm. That didn't happen either - I had to call to make sure as I scheduled time off and had to be at home. On install date 2/22/24- found out designer measured incorrectly and didn't account for an overhead fire alarm. Now we had to cut down 1 closet making it not even on each side. Additionally we had to move fire alarm otherwise we would have had to eliminate a cabinet all together. Designer did not get in touch with us - the installers had to make the calls to get things to happen. So now 4 closet doors are needing to be ordered and more delays. So finally manager has to reach out to me as I've sent an email to the scheduler. We come to an agreement and proceed. On 2nd day of install (as guys are cleaning up to leave) I'm told there is no hardware for cabinets and no hardware for lift up doors - this continues to get worse. And also a set of drawers are incorrect and she didn't measure well enough to accommodate shoes - so there isn't enough room. They had 17 weeks! It is so hard to open the doors without hardware! And now I have parts sitting and waiting and open cabinets in the middle of my bedroom. Again I send another email and explain all the screw ups. Dan explains that the hardware is in stock and available and he's not sure why it wasn't sent with products. Last email from Dan on 2/27 he will work with purchase manager to get into motion and will be back in touch with ETA. But they should have come out to put hardware on (nine cabinets) so we could open doors and have lift up doors on (4 of these). 3/15/24 I email Dan @ 1:42 in afternoon. - at this point I don't even want the product they don't care about this job and or they are too busy taking care of more important clients. Still no reply from Dan. 3/19/24 - I email Dan again - and get an email back saying out of town. I then get a call from an assistant to schedule to bring the hardware. I've declined. I don't want any of it and need to speak to Dan which he returns next week. I've had to follow up on the entire job. Service, timing, design etc is the worst. I don't recommend - certainly not for the price."

"Excellent work from design through installation with fair pricing, good value and spot on timing as promised. Mike Pipitone led the crew with dedicated focus on the smallest of details. He was a good leader of his crew and intensely skilled in all aspects of the installation. I'd recommend Mike, his crew and California Closets in general for jobs bit and small. Ours was a complete build out of a large room library. Michelle did the design excellently and Dan, the general manager, dropped in to check on the progress. Fine Northern Nevada team all around."
