"I had an absolutely horrible experience with Dr. Reed and his office staff. I suffered a debilitating shoulder injury, which left me in 9 to 10 level pain. I was constantly thinking “should I go to the emergency room?” Dr. Reed saw me on the video conferencing app and misdiagnosed my injury as simple bursitis. He referred me for an x-ray and also physical therapy, BUT that’s when his office stopped communicating. After the X-ray I couldn't get a follow up with Doctor Reed. They simply wouldn't return my phone calls or messages from the text message system they use. But much worse the office staff didn't send my referral to the physical therapist for five weeks! The physical therapist tried to get them to send it in and I called and sent text messages several times a week until they finally did. During this entire time I was in an extraordinary amount of pain. When Dr. Reed spoke to me I told him I was taking 800 mg of ibuprofen every day because the pain was so bad. He said stop taking the ibuprofen. I was assuming he was going to prescribe medication for the pain but he didn't. I literally went months in extreme pain which prevented me from taking care of my children and doing my daily work. Finally, I changed to a new primary care physician and within 24 hours I got the referral to the physical therapist. I also had an MRI appointment set, received pain medication, a referral to a shoulder specialist, and also had bloodwork done. There's no excuse for the lack of professionalism at Dr. Reed’s office. Their carelessness directly caused my pain and suffering to continue for much longer than it should have. If you're looking for a good doctor to take care of you go elsewhere!"

"I came in to see the doctor for a mass on my left and right flank and the doctor made a referral. It is still 3 days later after my appointment and still have no appointment for an ultrasound due to a term not used for the Queen’s hospital. I called the doctor the next day asking for a prescription for pain medication on a Wednesday as soon as they opened. I didn’t realize they closed at 12p. I had to call back on Thursday asking what happened to the prescription. It seems like they have no urgency in my situation. The prescription could have been rushed and made the doctor aware that it was an urgency for the medication. Instead they call me back in the late afternoon on Thursday to say I can come to pick it up. I live in Waianae and there’s so much traffic leaving and coming back in to Waianae. I do not recommend anyone to see the doctor, especially if your situation is urgent. After playing phone tag for three days, I was told to call Queen’s myself to make an appointment for they ultrasound. I also had taken a sleep study a while back and I have no answer still. The doctor hands me a paper with 10 things to do (like I haven’t tried it already). Now I have a bill of $2500 for the study with no answer."

He orders tests based on his conversation and check up with you. He does not just give you a magic pill. He really looks at your results to whatever test you completed and goes over them with you so that you can understand."
