"Very Scary! I reported to pt. advocacy office about housekeeping being short staffed. Not enough staff, therefore rooms do not get swept/mop daily and black ring around toilet. Housekeeping was a very nice person and apologetic however she did explain they do not do daily cleaning in room or bathroom but they do empty garbage throughout day. Not enough hands on. I had to ask for toilet paper to 4 different people. The 4th brought it in but the housekeeper, RN, AIDE just never remembered or took the request seriously. Maui Memorial use to be top notch but fading over the years. So sad bc it is the ONLY hospital on Maui. Someone please help them!!!!!"

"Recently was a patient in ER. I am a visitor to the Island for over 30 years and have never had to be experience the healthcare system. The staff in ER were awesome. Very caring and explained every part of my care. I was very pleased to see the their healthcare system hasn’t forgot the care in the word Healthcare. Even though the staff were very busy with stretchers occupy the hallways and all rooms full. Thank you for your remarkable service and care. I was an RN for 38 years. Made me proud to see the kindhearted and professional healthcare team is rich in Aloha."

"All they do is transfer you. I begged for an advocate to help me. I was on phone for 3 hours … transfer, transfer, transfer was all they would do, and no one helped me. I begged more for an advocate. Nope. I called the main number and asked to file a complaint. I asked G* to file my complaint and ask, “Does anyone there care? Why was I transferred for 3 hours?” Those are not rhetorical questions. I want the Board to know my questions and that I begged for help and kept being transferred. I’d love to say caring, wonderful, nurses are great, good ER, goes out of their way, professional, helpful, great facility. But, nope. Zero stars."

"I'd give these hard working professionals a six it it was an option. What an experience. I dislocated my elbow, was in a lot of pain, and they did well to get me into an ER bed pretty quickly, despite how busy an evening it was. Love the welcome at the door. Despite being a tourist from out of country! Reception, triage all handled well. Got me fixed up and out the door. Wish our hospital home system did this well!"
