"We were on vacation in Hawaii when my husband had a medical emergency at the PCC. Luckily, it wasn’t too far away. The care was good, but our biggest complaint is that we were sent the bill almost 3 months later with a due date that had already passed. The way they do billing is very expensive and frustrating. UPDATE: it’s been 8 months since this trip and in that time we’ve gotten 2 more bills even though we already paid several and talked to them on the phone where they said previous bills were the last ones. Get a better system!!!!"
"I realized that my son has chronic sinusitis when his nose remained clogged after playing in the waves for 3 hours. We were on vacation, and he was miserable. We booked a doctor's appointment back home in Bay Area, and then I thought "Why watch my son suffer for a week days, when we can see a doctor in Hawaii?"" Perfect rainy day activity. This was the closest clinic. We were in and out of that emergency room in less than 45 minutes. Doctor was really nice, took his time, asked all the right questions, and gave us the correct meds. We got the prescription filled in a pharmacy across the street. Kid was feeling within a day, vacation saved! This was a much more pleasant experience than any emergency room visit back home. My insurance only covered 1/2 the cost, and we got the bill three weeks later."
"I had a knee replacement last year, and was recommended to kahuku hospitals PT. Lindsey was my therapist. She was amazing. She taught me how to bend my knee again. It was a tough road, but she stuck with me and gave me words of encouragement. I'm very grateful for all they do. Thank you again, Pam"
