Reviews of Pantry Products - Wells Ave
"Pantry products is amazing! They came to my work place not too long ago and I got the arnica muscle salve! It actually helps and I love it!! My muscles have never felt better. Thank you pantry products! Come support this small business!"
"Super cute store, great products and excellent customer service. Highly recommended."
"Amazing customer service experience I had with these women today. I love small businesses and love to support local. We have a spa in Gardnerville, NV and wanted to be sustainable and pure with the products we use in our body scrubs, body wraps, and in our showers. Looking forward to turning our clients onto this old-school, much more healthy, much more sustainable, classic, high quality, artisan concept/approach to self care!"
"My partner and I did their "Modern Potions and Tinctures" workshop in October. The person supervising was very kind, and they had many refreshments available, but we honestly learned NOTHING. We got a short recipe for 4 things, with absolutely no information on what they actually were, what they were supposed to do, or what we were supposed to do with them after straining. Even when I asked. I did learn that olive oil can be a good skin moisturizer. I was hoping to actually learn something about making tinctures. Instead, I still have the initial mixes languishing in my closet because I don't really understand what to do with them. Like I said, they were nice, and the place is cute, but the lack of actual education or information provided makes it so that I'm not likely to ever go again. EDIT to owner response: This isn't... a bad review..... it's an honest one. It isn't the onus of a client to go out of their way to access information that should have already been provided. That's an unreasonable expectation, especially when this was our first experience with the store and it was supposed to be educational. The shifting of blame for mild criticism as if I left a ranting one star review makes me even LESS likely to ever visit again, lmao."
"Really disappointed with the overall experience. Terrible customer service. Purchased the pictured product (Gin & Tonic Toner) from a vendor in North Carolina. Ended up having to leave it there due to size/flying/TSA. A friend eventually brought it to me in their own luggage and I was so sad to see that the essential oils in it had separated out. I contacted Pantry Products and got a really testy response from the owner - that this was "normal" and the product was still usable. That I should shake it and see that the oils would reblend, since they've been making this (now discontinued) product for "5 years and folks love it." I disagreed - see photo of shaken bottle - and asked for a refund, or barring that, a store credit with shipping. After being promised yes, a store credit with shipping - it's never materialized. I'm out the cost of the product and the time I shouldn't have wasted trying to get it replaced. The owner's contact with me was heavy on an entitled attitude - not her problem, was the feeling I got. I also wrote a review and posted it to their own website - it looks as if that was deleted. Really bad customer service! Unfortunate. Edited 2/28, after owner response: After yes, reaching out hoping that this product had perhaps gone bad in an unanticipated way, I would have expected a refund in that instance. On finding out that this is actually the way the product was intended to be and not a bad batch, I requested a store credit. I waited for it - checking in once to find that the owner had taken a "much needed vacation in the mountains" immediately after promising the credit and hadn't sent it, and a second time last week when I was told it would be sent that day. After three weeks of waiting, I posted the review from earlier today. At that point the owner responded here and to me directly providing the credit. It's unfortunate that sometimes this is the only way to get a real, timely response."
