"Quick friendly service. Simple blood draw... Took no more than 5 minutes. They will let you know if certain tests aren't covered by health insurance. Very helpful."
"Went 7:30 Saturday morning. 10 people ahead of me some waiting outside to safely social distance. Line went rather quickly. Justin, my vampire, greeted me & asked me to wait in the blood drawing room seat 2 while he photocopied my ID & insurance card. . He promptly returned, verified my identity & proceeded. I confessed that I am a chicken & won’t be watching so he made small talk thru the process & before I knew it, it was over. Justin is an amazing phlebotomist. Weird to say this but great experience!"
"I go there quite often, on a regular basis for blood work, and I always leave feeling good. I admire their customer service, even after drawing my precious blood. Thank you Kaneohe DLS."
"I come here regularly to get blood work done. Unfortunately, today I had the worse experience ever. The nurses in the front were so rude and flat out mean. I scheduled to pay for a covid test (I’m vaccinated btw) because I had just traveled and needed one prior to going back to work. I was told upon my arrival to my scheduled appointment that I could not get the test done because it’s only meant for people traveling. I was confused and had questions so I was waiting for the nurse to finish what she was doing so I could talk to her. I was then approached by a guy with a heavy accent (couldn’t get his name) and he was SO MEAN TO ME. I left crying because I was so shook at how I was spoken to. He basically raised his voice at me telling me there’s nothing they can do for me because he’s not understanding my situation on why I need the Covid Test so I can get out and head to urgent care instead. How I was spoken to made me feel so uncomfortable. I literally left feeling sooo confused. He made me feel like a bad person for wanting to get a covid test. Just such a bad experience, they could’ve explained to me nicely why they can’t do the covid test instead of being rude. I would’ve been understanding had they spoken to me nicely. Why is getting a covid test so hard to get? Especially when I’m willing to pay for it. I thought I was doing the responsible thing by getting checked prior to going back to my place of work. They looked at me like I was crazy. Just a weird, bad, bad experience."
"Had my lab work done here twice in one month. My first experience was okay. I went in around 8:20AM and waited about 40min. The employee that took my blood had to take from my hand because they could not find my vein. (This was not their fault, it has always been difficult for them to find my veins to take blood). The second time I went an hour before closing, and did not have to wait. As they were preparing me to take blood, the employee (Cliff) walked into the lobby to announce he was done with his day. When Cliff saw me, he said “this will be my last one” and asked me to follow him. He sat me down to take my blood, and began wiggling the needle to find my vein. Cliff proceeded to tell me that I needed to “drink more water” and “the last ones are always the worst” as he wiggled the needle inside my arm. I told him that they took it from my hand last time, and he did the same. While he stabbed me with the needle and took blood from me he continued to tell his coworkers how he “was just about to leave but volunteered to take me” and “the last ones are always the worst”. Although points may be valid, patients are still customers and are paying their lab technicians to do their job, and treat them with respect."
