"We LOVED IT!!!! I couldn’t not begin to explain how amazing this Luau was. First of all food was awesome, environment incredible, and the show was beyond put together! I also wanted to thank them for accommodating our grandmother who got admitted to the hospital only 2 hours before the Luau. They went above and beyond to make sure our grandmother was taken care of! Thank you all so much for the love and support for our family that got to attend and for the family that got to attend! BEST LUAU EVER!!!"
"As a traveler passionate about delving into authentic cultural experiences, attending a Luau in Hawaii was a must during my recent visit in November. I embarked on a thorough search to find a Luau that resonated deeply with the rich heritage of Hawaii, and my quest led me to Luau Ka Hikina at the Sheraton Kauai Coconut Beach Resort. This wasn't just a performance; it was a soul-stirring journey back through centuries of Hawaiian history and tradition. For me, authenticity in a Luau isn't just about entertainment; it's about becoming immersed in the culture. Luau Ka Hikina excelled in this aspect, creating an experience that transported my soul to ancient times. The cultural connection was palpable, making it more than just a mere spectacle - it was a profound homage to Hawaii's heritage. Moreover, the location of this Luau is steeped in historical significance, adding another layer of depth to the entire experience. Discovering that Kauai’s high chiefs once called this place home, and knowing it was considered one of the most sacred areas in all of Hawaii, elevated the evening to something truly special. Learning about Kauai's last king, Kaumualii, and his ties to Coconut Beach further enriched the cultural context of the event. Additionally, the proximity of Kauai's birthing stone, a historic monument just a short drive away, added an extra dimension to the visit, encouraging guests to explore and honor Hawaii's heritage. While the imu ceremony, an integral part of traditional Luaus, was missing from Luau Ka Hikina, it didn't detract significantly from the overall experience. The abundance of other cultural elements more than compensated for this absence, creating a memorable and enriching evening. In conclusion, if you're seeking an authentic, culturally immersive experience that intertwines with Hawaii's captivating history, Luau Ka Hikina at the Sheraton Kauai Coconut Beach Resort is an excellent choice. It's not just a Luau; it's a reverent homage to the soul of Hawaii's past, offering guests a meaningful journey through time and tradition."
"Not a bad Luau. Food was good. Drinks were good and entertainment was exceptional. The only recommendation I would make would be to raise the stage a couple of feet so that the show would be more visible. Be sure to get there early to avoid the very long line and to get a good seat near the stage. In my opinion comparing this to Smiths Luau I would go to Smiths because of the atmosphere. That doesn't mean this one is bad it's that I just preferred Smiths. They are both very good."
"Overall a fun and enjoyable night at a traditional Luau! We have experienced traditional dance and music ceremonies in Fiji, this one was not as exciting but overall a great night that you should definitely experience. The food was good and it was unlimited drinks (alcoholic and nonalcoholic). If you arrive early you can get great seats as well. That is, unlike other luau’s in Kauai, you get “premium” seats and enjoy alcoholic beverages without an up-charge. This would also be great for kids! There is also parking on the premises for free (at the Sheraton Coconut Beach)."
