The Venue at Orleans

"In terms of the actual venue: decent show. Wasn’t anything extraordinary, seats were just standard chairs you’d find in a wedding venue, but nothing to complain about. If what happened to me hadn’t happened to me, this would probably be a much better review. This review mostly has to do with assistance of the employees to help me with an issue that happened during a show. I had a bag I brought into the theatre with me, there is photo evidence of me entering the theatre with it. I put it underneath my seat during the show. Show ends and I leave the theatre, there is photo evidence of me leaving without the bag. The next morning, I go to the venue to see if they have it. The venue is closed and I have to wait till the next show to open. I call main security (the hotel) throughout the day to see if came up, it didn’t. I visit the theatre later that night, they inform me that they don’t have it, but it might be locked up in a safe that they don’t have keys for, and would have to wait till the manager comes in, which they don’t know when that is. He also tells me they sweep the floors every night, and since I was in the front row, they definitely would have seen it, so it’s likely someone knows something. Throughout the week I consistently call main security, still no dice. At some point I get in contact with the venue manager who tells me she will interview staff and possibly check footage. She also tells me it’s probably not in the safe, as it is small and staff are instructed to return items to main security list and found (which I’m still contacting periodically so obviously this did not happen). Weeks go by, and it looks like nothing is going to be done about this. I’ve given up, they seem unwilling to help me anymore. So either somebody stole my bag and doesn’t want to incriminate themselves, or it just got swept up negligently and thrown out (it’s a bright blue backpack so if this happened I’d be shocked). Moral of the story: be careful with your belongings here, they will give you the run around until you give up. Not to mention if something else had happened here, I doubt the staff would take precedence in solving the issue. I may never get my bag back, or anything in it, but at least I can highly advise people to not make my mistake or do business with this theatre."

"Very nice small show venue. Every seat has a great view. Saw the Lioz comedy magic show. It was very good. Way better that a typical magic show. Lioz from America's Got Talent was very funny, and his show has lots of audience participation. It is definitely worth seeing."
