"Didn’t like the unhygienic hippie receptionists rude comments. Should keep his politics separate from his job. Other that it’s kinda bohemian, my pillow had at least 100 stains from years of travelers drool and other liquids. Next door room was loud and we didn’t sleep well at all. Kitchen is solid."

"Stayed here for two nights while skiing at Palisades. This place is awesome. The beds are comfortable and shower pressure is excellent. Cheap beers available in the lobby. Cool people to hang with in the common area. Will be back!"

"Stayed for 4 nights and loved the location. Got to meet new skiers and riders, walked up and down across the NV CA border, and enjoyed the town right next to the scenic Lake Tahoe. Heavenly access is a block away and Kirkwood/ Reno are only an hour. I'll be back!"

"We had a great stay at this hostel. We stayed for 4 nights and met great people (staff and other travelers). The staff put a lot of effort into making sure people have a good time - with social events/open mics/etc. which is above and beyond what we expected from an American hostel - I can see why travelers stay and work here. The rooms, bathrooms and kitchen were really clean. Great location - lots of shops and cafes within walking distance and beaches within a short drive. Would definitely recommend if staying in Tahoe."

Great staff , very friendly and helpful...and BY Far the most accommodating when it comes to getting a room if you have a request for the ADA room because of the high altitude, etc. . plus they have a great beer selection and other soft drinks available. They're close to all the great local spots to grab a bite to eat! Close to all the casinos as well!! If you want a place that's comfortable and to sleep at night, This place is for you! -Dan W.
