"I recently stayed at Juniper Springs Resort and had a mixed experience. The rooms were spacious, but also a bit worn and tired. The furniture was comfortable enough, but showed signs of wear and tear, and the decor was outdated. The bedding was clean, but the sheets were a bit thin and the comforter was worn out. The bathroom was clean, but the grout was stained and the showerhead was weak, making it difficult to get a good shower. The rest of the hotel was similarly worn, with scuffed walls, tired-looking public areas, and a general air of neglect. The carpets were stained and frayed, and the furniture in the lobby was worn and faded. However, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and made up for some of the hotel's shortcomings. They were always willing to help and had a pleasant attitude, even when dealing with the hotel's many issues. Despite the hotel's flaws, I did enjoy my stay. The location was beautiful, surrounded by natural scenery and with easy access to hiking trails. The pool was also a nice touch, although it could have been cleaner and better maintained. The hot tub was a welcome amenity after a long day of hiking, but it was also in need of some maintenance. Overall, I would say that Juniper Springs Resort is a decent option if you're looking for a budget-friendly stay in a beautiful location. However, don't expect too much in terms of luxury or modernity. With a bit of TLC, this hotel could be a real gem. If you're willing to overlook some of its flaws, you might find a comfortable and relaxing stay here."
"I stayed in Sunstone, reviews vary based on building or room. Rooms were outdated (an eyesore to say the least) but clean. Beds were weird? Not sure if it’s my back or the bed themselves but I saw some other comments mentioning them…anyways my back had a few knots and felt pretty bad the next morning. Location wise the ski in ski out was good. Wifi continuously spotty and would just disappear at times. Parking convenient and easy."
"I have stayed at Juniper Springs five times now since enrolling in the Ikon Pass program three seasons ago. I can say that I have never been disappointed. The location is ideal. The views from most rooms are enjoyable - some are even stunning. The condos are comfortably appointed and have everything a person needs. The guests are interesting. Finally, the staff is great."
"We had the most perfect stay at Juniper. From the friendly staff to the well stocked rooms, all our needs and more were met. The kitchen has everything you need to enjoy a meal in. We were fortunate to get a top floor unit so we had zero neighbor noise. We’ve stayed at a lot of condos/cabins in Mammoth and this is by far our most favorite! We’ll be back soon!"
