"This state park is mind-blowingly beautiful. Sand Harbor is the main visitor area, with access to several beaches and rocks to swim from. There are also plenty of other spots further along the shore where you can park on the side of the road and hike down to the water, BUT you can't even get to these until the Sand Harbor traffic dies down. In peak season San Harbor gets mobbed with visitors, to the point that it shuts down the roadway in the morning with a line of cars waiting to enter Sand Harbor, thereby blocking thru traffic that is trying to get past Sand Harbor (no passing lane) until the park stops accepting more vehicles. I wouldn't say this should count against the park, but rather the fault of over population. Next time we visit we would stay in Incline Village and rent bicycles, it's a 5 mile ride along an incredibly beautiful public shore pathway, very well executed including paved stretches and brides over rockier portions."
"Beautiful sight. So serene, peaceful. One can spend whole day while watching Blue water, mountains - every angle gives you Beautiful pictures. Loved it. Must visit for everyone."
"We love this state park, off-season, that is. It can be quite crowded in the summer. There is a nice boardwalk to wander with beautiful views of the lake and inlets. The large boulders in the water give it a unique charm."
"Beautiful state park- One of the most beautiful places you’ll ever see. Park is very clean and visitor center with restaurant are on the premises. Large parking lot, but beware as it can fill up by 9am. Beach rentals are towards the end of the beach. You could spend all day here and be just fine. There are a series of walking paths around the lake within the park. The pictures don’t do it justice: you’ve gotta go!"
