"Loved the Chinese food at Sandy's Cafe and strolled around the different boutique stores. River and Japanese temple next door with blue sky backdrop gave some awesome photos."
"Honolulu is a multi-cultural city. It brings together diverse cultural groups from throughout the world. It appears that this cultural center is dedicated to the friendship between Taiwanese Chinese and United States citizens. It's a tribute to a long-time friendship. Note: The Chinese New Year approaches. This year it falls on Saturday, February 10th, 2024. They will usher in the "Year of the Dragon." Join in on these festivities. Come Chinatown. Here in Honolulu there are plans this year for the Chinese New Year on Saturday, Febriary 3rd, 2024. Come for the celebration. See you around then."
"Not a bad place to take a quick walk around and explore, try some authentic asian foods and buy some trinkets, but Honolulu's Chi-Town pales in comparison to some others on the North American mainland. Still worth checking out."

This bustling and vibrant area is filled with a rich mix of cultures and traditions, offering visitors a unique and authentic experience. The bustling open-air market is a must-visit, with vendors selling everything from fresh produce to handmade goods and traditional crafts. The area is also home to several cultural landmarks, including temples, museums, and cultural centers, all of which provide a fascinating look into the rich history and heritage of the neighborhood. There are classes available and lots of restaurants to eat at. Whether you're in the mood to shop, eat, or simply soak up the atmosphere, the Chinatown Cultural Plaza is an experience not to be missed."
"It’s one of the rare places in the world that Kuo Min Tang’s flags are flying in the sky day and night! This Chinatown Cultural Plaza, funded and built by Taiwanese, is the centre for the local Chinese communities to hold events. Inside, there is a Guanyin Buddha with free scents offered for people to pay worship - an act of true philanthropy."
