"We absolutely love Coach Megan and Mythic Gymnastics. Our 4 year old son had an experience at another gym that made him decide he never wanted to do gymnastics again. We got him to agree to try this gym and it’s been absolutely wonderful. I know that dealing with a bunch of toddlers isn’t easy and can be frustrating, but Coach Megan handles it all so well. She is always so patient, calm and kind with the children and does very well ensuring they’re listening but also having fun. My son asks to go back every week and is always excited to see his coach and classmates."
"Brought my daughter here for the first time and she loved it! The staff is very friendly and prompt. Felt right at home. Will be coming back for sign up. Thanks Mythic Gymnastics for a pleasant experience!"
"Signed up my granddaughter for the toddler program. She is 2. She currently attends swimming classes, soccer and karate here in Reno, and has had great experiences at everything. Since she was new to the program we came a bit early to check it out and sign paperwork, ten minutes early. We were instructed to go to the back of the gym to the toddler area. Since we still had about 6 minutes until class started, she wanted to play on the mats. A young girl came over and told us no one is allowed on the mat until the class started. My daughter and I were there to provide proper supervision and she was not touching equipment that was outside her age group, just playing on the mat. So, now we are expected to sit on a chair and wait. Fine for adults, not for a two year old. She was not a happy camper. Perhaps a basket of toys for those that may arrive a few minutes early. Then at 2 pm class started. The instructor was a young girl, who never acknowledged my granddaughter. The young girl didn’t look too thrilled to be there and was not at all engaging with anyone. She just expected my two year old granddaughter to follow instructions. It was our first time too and since it’s a parent/toddler program we were given no greeting either and we weren’t sure what our roles were to be. We were beyond frustrated with our experience here. Later that day my daughter and I received an email from Mythic stating that they were looking for help so that they would not have to cancel classes….’no experience required.’ I’m not sure what the training is there for the toddler program but I think it’s needs further expansion."
"Been to 3 other gyms in Reno and this is definitely the best. Small classes with great coaches. They focus on form and doing skills correctly. Other gyms we went to allowed slop. The coaches keep ot fun and encouraging throughout the classes. I would definitely recommend going here."
"Went to the Parent and Tot class. Online it’s advertised as a 18mo-3yr class. My daughter wasn’t even acknowledged upon coach arriving. Coach had the older toddlers do warm ups as my daughter walked around because she doesn’t understand directions as she is 18 months old. Coach only focused on the older kids and my daughter was left to wander on her own. We had to teach her and guide her to try to do what the coach was doing as the coach didn’t care too. I was excited and prepared to pay for more classes but due to the horrible experience I will never come back as my daughter shouldn’t feel left out and not acknowledged at such a young age. We are Hispanic and there was one other hispanic older toddler in the class and they seemed to be treated differently than the lighter complexion kids as the coach was only paying attention to the kids that had the same complexion as her. I will not stand for this and it is not ok that at such a young age kids are treated differently because of the color of their skin."
