"I asked the two guys at Kono BBQ what the best shave ice place was in Kailua. In unison, they both said, "Island Snow." OH yes! Totally!"
"My favorite spot for shave ice on the windward side. Their natural syrups are incredible! The vanilla has flecks of vanilla bean. I also highly recommend the lilikoi natural syrup. They have a ton of other flavors to choose from, as well. My kids always enjoy coming here and love picking out new flavor combos each time we visit."
"If you're going to shave ice, shave ice Obama style. Great local option close to Kailua beach near to where the Obama's vacation and the shave ice is solid. Didn't love the flavoured mochi addon, I'd go with the plain version next time so it doesn't fight with the other flavours. Parking in the lot. Clean space. Fast service."
"This is an easy stop for shave ice after spending time at Lanikai Beach. There is plenty of parking onsite. This is President Obama's favorite shave ice place! There are two sizes and the standard shave ice includes vanilla ice cream and 3 classic flavors. If you want the natural flavors, it's an extra $1.25. you order by telling them them info on the following order: size, ice cream, and add-ons. You tell them what flavor of syrup you want after you pay and your ice has been made. I got natural guava and mango with mochi and condensed milk. Their mochi comes from Nisshodo and it tasted great! The shave was was pretty decent. The guava syrup was good but I thought the mango syrup was really lacking in flavor. Overall, it's not a bad stop for shave ice but my didn't taste super flavored. If I were to go back, I might ask for more syrup."
