Reviews of Honolulu Noodle & Co.
"I ate here 4 days in a row during a 6 day stay in Waikiki. The noodles in the beef noodle soup reminded me of my Taiwanese grandma's homemade noodles, somehow both chewy and not too heavy. Broth was light and 'clean' tasting, with the option to add your own chili oil to add a bit of spice. Beef noodle soup is $15 between 11am-2pm, which is a good deal for the generally expensive Waikiki area. I also had the sesame noodles ($13), which was a yummy & easy takeaway dish (although recommended to eat right away when noodles are bouncy and chewy). Gyoza was also very good! There was also no line and we were served immediately every time we went. Highly recommend for a quick & casual lunch in the Waikiki area."
"As a Taiwanese person I can vouch for this place is very legit lol, the food is very authentic and tastes like back home. The beef noodle is on the lighter side but pretty goooooooood; the hot and sour soup is 10/10 on point. Popcorn chicken is very fried with basil; fried tofu is fried to perfection (the kimchi game is weak tho but meh). Overall recommend it if you wanna try Taiwanese food in Waikiki ✨"
"Downstairs in the newly installed Stix Asia dining hall, all the way in the back of the space, you'll find the Honolulu Noodle & Co, and it is 100% worth the mission to find. We had a bowl of beef noodles, and an order of pork belly satay dry noodles. The noodles were perfectly imperfectly shaped, tender, and delicious. The beefy broth was incredible! My dining partner really enjoyed the pork belly satay, it was tender and crispy, and blended perfectly with the noodles. 10/10 would recommend, and can't wait to go back!"
"Winter is coming and it’s totally Taiwanese beef noodle soup season! This warm and spicy soup is Taiwan’s answer to the beloved ramen. The beef noodle soup ($21.85) came out super quick and hot! The broth is clean with a side option of enhancing the broth with beef fat and picked cabbage. These are a MUST and came for free! The noodles and broth are topped with generous portions of beef chunks that were braised for over 24 hours as well as some lately blanched pieces of bok choy to balance it out. The broth was beautifully flavorful from the beef and the warm spices, such a star anise and cinnamon. The noodles are a little bit thicker than traditional ramen noodles, and we’re perfectly toothsome and did not get soggy even when taking our time eating the soup. The added fat, cava flavorful layer on the top, and every once in a while, a bite of the pickled cabbage brightened up your palette. This restaurant is locally owned, and the owner is greatly invested in continuing to bring Taiwanese classic dishes to Waikiki for people to enjoy! Another unique item are their FRESH sesame balls ($5-6?)! I’ve never had ones just out of the fryer and they were hot and delicious with red bean filling and a chewy dough with crispy flavorful sesame seeds on the outside! Additionally, tried the fried pork chop, gyoza and hot and sour soup. The pork chop ($13.85) was a thin-crusted fried pork chop that came with two sauces, one salty and sweet. The pork was extremely tender and who doesn’t love a nice fried pork chop! The Gyoza ($13.50 for 12 TWELVE!) were beautiful presented with a dipping sauce. They had a generous amount of pork and vegetable filling with a crispy exterior and a soft wrapper. Finally, the hot and sour soup ($6.75) hit the spot with the right texture and zing and lots of white pepper. Yum! Hit the spot to share for two people. The staff was super friendly, the restaurant was clean and tidy with a glimpse of their fresh spices lining the kitchen window. They also offer a Kama’aina discount for us locals!"
"Ordered beef noodle soup and also seafood noodle soup. Loved the side condiments that were provided to give extra oomph to the beef noodle. The seafood noodle soup has 2 prawns, 2 fish paste, 2 fish cakes and 2 pieces of cuttle fish, really a great combination of seafood."
