The School of Music at the University of Nevada, Reno is dedicated to training the next generation of performers, educators, scholars, composers, and technicians. Located at 1664 North Virginia Street in Reno, Nevada, our faculty are committed to excellence in undergraduate instruction and welcome students from all backgrounds. We offer three majors: pre-professional programs leading to a Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Music Education degree, as well as a liberal arts program leading to a Bachelor of Arts degree. Minors are offered with concentrations in fundamental studies in music or the recording arts.

Our supportive community of faculty and graduate students, located on a beautiful campus in a musically-rich city, provides individual attention with a low student-to-faculty ratio. We offer generous talent-based scholarships for undergraduates and nationally competitive assistantships at the graduate level. The School of Music offers both small and large ensemble performance opportunities, and students from all majors are welcome to audition.

In addition to offering a liberal arts degree for students seeking foundational studies in music, the School of Music presents various events and performances throughout the year. Our upcoming performances include new musical works being premiered in honor of the University's 150th anniversary, as well as a Day of Percussion featuring vibraphonist Sean Collins and his Folktet.
