"I went in for my appointment at 11am, I checked in and the lady at the front desk, who checked me in said "have a seat." So I sat and waited and waited, finally its 11:30 and I get up and ask her how much longer it will be, she asks my name and all my information AGAIN, (I have been sitting in her line of site for 30 minutes.) Then she says.. oh you can wait in adult medicine, I ask her where that is and she points in the direction. So I go back to adult medicine and wait another 15 minutes and I just couldn't take it anymore. Don't make my appointment at 11am and still 45 minutes later make me continue to wait. Its so rude, my time is valuable. I will never be going back to this office again. This is my second not so great experience, the first time I broke my foot and I never got a referral, never got my foot wrapped up, they did nothing for me. Hate this office and I hate healthcare in America."
"There is always something that happens over there… 1) Dr. Laird leaving and not being notified. 2) Cancellations of appointments when you as a person is diagnosed with GAD, so the whole getting ready to head to said appointment takes longer than most. But when you mention you’re halfway there, they still cancel your appointment. 3) Finally get a psychiatrist to do sessions there, and not long, you get a cancellation call for your appointment and to call back later (anxiety went up)… you finally work up to call to schedule, they actually tell you that contract was canceled and your psychiatrist is no longer there more anxiety). But they actually tell me where to find her cause I Do need the services. I would change to maybe Kaiser, but I don’t… I have been with Malama since February 2004, and it’s been convenient for me. I struggled when I had to find someone else after Dr. Laird, but I eventually did it. Abrupt or/and sudden changes in my routines are difficult for me and a lot of times Malama is the one giving me anxiety. But I still stick it out. :/"
"Due to Malama being the only OB provider if you have HMSA, I was forced to see the OB team here. They could not get one thing right from the get go. Once I got set up (sort of), I had experience with 3 OB doctors. 2 were negligent and derelict in their duties. 1 at the hospital, who discharged me (a high risk patient) without seeing me. The reason I went to the hospital was on my doctor’s advice. I then saw Trina Chakravarty in clinic. She is lovely, though the appointment was long and not effective as they did not have records, which they had already received. But couldn’t find(?) even though they are digital. The icing on the cake came when I had an appointment with Dr. Monji. I honestly don’t know what is wrong with her. She has an awful attitude right off the bat. She is combative, rude, arrogant and dismissive. I had no major concerns to express; I was simply there as a requisite part of my pregnancy. She made medical judgements (I’m sure among other types) without ever meeting me or more importantly reviewing my records. She then cited Dr. Altura as her source for dismissing the advice of specialists in my case. I have not been seen by Dr. Altura. So as far as I’m concerned he also roped himself into a situation where advice is being given without proper consideration and review of their patient’s medical history. This is very dangerous and goes far beyond simply unprofessional. No one should trust either Dr. Altura or Dr. Monji for flippantly making such flagrant judgments, disregarding medical professionals who are actually involved. This type of conduct puts people’s health at risk. I have since switched to Kaiser, paying OUT-OF-POCKET to avoid any potential interaction with these so-called medical professionals. Shocked and horrified…."
"There are good health professionals here, but they are fully hamstrung by bad admin (There are also healthcare professionals that shouldn't be providing service to the public here). Hopefully things will get better in the future. As is handling simple issues here is a burden. Currently this serves an example on how not to provide health care, or how to dangerously provide it."
"Terrible! A lady by the name Albi or Ally (sorry if spelled wrong) acted like she was a medical doctor. I tried making an appointment for a Rhogam shot and she kept telling me I’m not confirmed for my pregnancy. I’ve done an ultra sound there and I kept telling her that I needed to make an appointment for a Rhogam shot because I’ll be 28 weeks soon. She told me that it wasn’t her problem. She hung up me twice. I had to go into the clinic to make a report on her. Apparently she works for the call center. We know you are busy and overwhelmed but you’re working in the wrong department. If you can’t handle your position go find a job that you can. Stop acting high on your horse like you KNOW EVERYTHING and get assistance to the questions I was asking. Don’t just think you know because the records. Lemme tell you, when I went into the clinic to make an appointment they were confused as to why Albi couldn’t just give me an appointment. It’s because she thinks she has authority. This call center woman doesn’t realize that if she messes with the wrong patient she could have a lawsuit against her and the whole clinic! Probably would’ve been different if I was her family then she would’ve hopped, jumped, and skipped to pull strings."
