Cino

"It's a nice "neighborhood" spot. Gives off Vino kinda vibes but more hipster / modern. Not a dig against either Vino or Cino but rather a compliment. Cino feels like it's the successor to Vino. Food was prompt and tasty. Charred Octo was decision and came out in like no time. If anything, may have been nice to have come out warmer / hotter but delicious nonetheless. Kampachi Crudo was nice and fresh but the sauce took away from the fish. Yuzu Vinaigrette was a bit heavy, but dish was still enjoyable. Branzino and the Squid Ink Pasta was spot on. Squid Ink Pasta is tasty although a bit pricey for what you get. Maybe more than one shrimp would be nice for this price point. Branzino was nice and refreshing. It's a bonier fish, so be prepared to do some work but oh so worth it. Dessert was a Berry Panna Cotta and Tiramisu. Panna Cotta was nice and silky and had a nice assortment of fresh fruits. Tiramisu was lovely as well. Not too sweet like most places, so definitely appreciated that. Looking forward to great things from Cino and being a regular."

"Wow the most delicious quality food, service and atmosphere. We met one of the employees of this restaurant on a sunset sail, he told us all about Cino and boy did they deliver. The food is amazing, this is definitely worth every penny. We had the Frito Misto, Charred Spanish Octopus, Pork Chops, Whole Fish Branzino Special, Herb Pappardelle, o Cauliflower & Twice Baked Potatoes!! Dylan was our server and he went above and beyond to ensure this visit was the most memorable! We really do appreciate him, the chefs and all the staff here for providing us with a spectacular experience. The food is out of this world! Not to mention in house made pasta, not many places can deliver this experience. We hope to returned in the future!"

"I'm only writing this for the managers and owners to learn from. As a customer coming in blind, if I didn't know that it's only a soft opening, the raring would have been a 4, 5, 3, and 3. I'm not trying to knock down the overall star rating of this place before it gets off of the ground so here are my constructive criticisms, and praises. My group of six didn't get sat until 20 after our reservation time... easy fix: learn average seating time and adjust accordingly. We ordered 2 bottles of wine and 3 appetizers (including the 145 dollar seafood platter)... we got all 3 appetizers BEFORE either of the bottles of wine arrived. I believe this is a staffing issue. Our server was serving SO MANY TABLES. He was great and had wonderful service himself, so it should be on a manager or bartender to step up and open a couple bottles for a server in the weeds. For the price of 145 for the seafood, I wasn't impressed. Quality of each individual item was good, but 145? Nah. Entrees and other apps were delicious. Nothing to comment on with that. Kitchen timing was good between courses. At the price point and decor of this place, service needs to be bumped up a notch or 2. More frequent water refill and crumbling. More table taps without interruption. Staff with less responsibility need to be trained to take on more duties. It looks bad on a restaurant when a guest asks for item x, but the reply back is, "I'll get your server." Write it down and relay the message. The server can double check if they want. This place has a really Vegas style feel. It's cool, chic, almost feels like it requires a dress code... I'm glad it doesn't. The music level was a LITTLE loud for me, but that's just my opinion. I'm sure older patrons feel the same. Hope this helps"

"Absolutely refreshing new dinning experience in Honolulu. The menu had all kinds of great stuff. The grilled octopus was delicious. The place was busy but the service was exceptional. Little pricy but I don’t mind paying for top quality food and service. They did a great job. Will definitely return soon."
