Lava Tube

"We stopped for cocktails at The Lava Tube below the Ohia Suites. The service was very good with friendly staff, and the menu includes a wide variety of drinks. We didn’t order food but several in the small bar did, and it looked good. Fun place to stop!"

"You had me at "Loco Moco Burger" and it was delicious! The coconut shrimp were nice and a little sweet. The drinks all look amazing too!"

"We got the $5 Mai tai special and the $21 Pina colada. While it was really cool that the drink came in a whole pineapple, it was essentially undrinkable from the amount of alcohol in it. Previous reviewers said their drinks had barely any alcohol and were on the sweeter side, maybe pointing to an inconsistent bartender? I would have come back for the $5 mai tais, but when we asked for the bill and told the waitress the drink was too strong, she was condescending and said “that’s just how alcohol tastes”. If you’re thinking of checking out this damp tiki bar (the table next to us complained about water dripping from the ceiling), skip it in favor of the many nicer restaurants and bars in Waikiki with better bartenders, more polite wait staff, and palatable drinks."

"Interesting as the outside is lots of neon colors and makes you wonder what's inside, but when you enter it is just wallpaper of Hawaiin volcanos, a bar, and then takes with chairs and the same neon lighting plus some bright white lights. I wish they fully committed to a jungle vibe and put fake or real vines coming from the ceiling and had a fake volcano that erupted and maybe a DJ or jungle sounds playing - that would make this place EPIC! I came though because they have pina colado with real pineapple. The drink was a bit expensive at 25$ but you do get a whole fresh pineapple. It wasn't bad, but I didn't taste any alcohol nor get a buzz. If you like sweeter drinks you'll like it. Service was awesome though."
