"My experience with Smoky Valley Tire was exceptional! I found myself outside of Austin, NV with one threadbare tire and another with a screw embedded in it more than 50 miles from Round Mountain. Since the discovery of both was after hours, I called the shop first thing in the morning from a campsite. Minnie answered the phone and was so compassionate. She got an order in for replacement tires, ensured that I approved the tire price and transport cost and they arrived a day + later. Shasta communicated with me about delivery & tire arrival. The mechanics found a broken bolt on one of the rims and went above and beyond to take wheel & brakes apart to rescue the broken half. Don, the owner, took the time to explain what was happening and also chose not to charge me more for the additional labor. I was several thousand miles from home and they even let my pups stay in the office out of the heat while they were working on the vehicle. I was far from the only customer there and yet they made sure to get me in and on my way as quickly as possible. I'd recommend this shop to anyone looking for a business that is fair, honest & thorough!! Thank you :-)"

"We had a punctured tire that they said could not be repaired so we purchased another tire and had it mounted. Counter person was friendly and had a good attitude. We got home the next day and to our tire store where we purchased the original tires and we were told that the tire was repairable and we had been taken for a ride. We went ahead and purchased another rim so we could have a full size spare and he mounted the repaired tire back onto the vehicle. ...No problems! To give them the benefit of the doubt; maybe they didn't have the experience and knowledge to repair the tire. ...or maybe not!"
