"Greedy and dishonest. I have been going there for years. I was a member and my husband would buy me gift certificates. They arbitrarily started making rules regarding their gift certificates, for example you could only use one every 6 months. at one point I had like 10 certificates from my husband. so then, because of this 6-month rule, they expired. They had to be reminded that gift certificates don't expire by federal law. Then they changed the rule - without telling their clients, that you didn't have to wait 6 months BUT there was a charge for every month the certificate was expired. I just went for a 1-hour massage. I had 2 90-minute certificates left. They wanted to charge me fees to use them. keep in mind I've been a very good client for over 10 years and have given them a lot of my $ over the years (so has my husband). If Allison, the owner, doesn't want to honor certificates people came in and paid for then I suggest she doesn't take them. She'll happily take your money when you buy a certificate and not tell you the terms to use them, then try to tack on "fees" and conditions to use a certificate you paid for. I will never go there again. i will not keep paying for services I've already paid for. EDIT: No Allison, you told me that because you sold the gift certificates as a special price they lost their initial value at the expiration period. This is not stated on the gift certificate NOR is it told to the person purchasing the gift certificate. It's a gift certificate, not a Groupon. A Groupon can lose it's value, not a gift certificate. Also, you fail to remember I was a member for many years so I had monthly massages as well as the certificates so I could not use them all in a year. Even that argument doesn't matter anyway. It was a service that was purchased. Period. It's a gift certificate, period. It's not a groupon, and if you choose to sell it as a "special" that loses value then it is up to you to tell your clients. If you take the money for a service ahead of time then refuse to honor that certificate in the future, that is dishonest. There is no justification for that. When I purchase a gift certificate for someone, I expect it to be honored when they use it, as do most consumers. She responded to my Yelp, but none of it makes sense. If you sell a gift certificate for a service then try to back out or charge more for a service already paid for, that is dishonest. No where on the gift certificate does it outline the loss of value. If a business doesn't want to sell gift certificates, then don't sell them. Taking money and then trying to back our of giving that service is stealing. Period."
"First time checking this place out and had the worst experience. Front counter staff was very unfriendly to begin with. Filed out the form and talked to the therapist about problems and target areas. The therapist was sweet and kind, but on the form I had marked “talk as needed”. The therapist talked throughout the entire session and made it had to relax. I also felt the session was pushing on pressure point and stretching more than it was a massage. I left more tense and sore than I did coming in."
"When we called to book 3 massages, we had a hard time getting them together, in fact our friend making the appointments received a call back asking us to reschedule, which we did. Appointments were close enough to not be an issue, and the massages were great, however, we had been told my massage would be less expensive because it was my first and my friends would be less expensive because it was her birthday. I don’t know if hers was discounted, but I paid full price, and this was after the receptionist even mentioned it being my first massage. My fault for not saying anything as I was paying, but I really shouldn’t have to. Other than that, all of us were happy with our massages and will probably be back from time to time (we were all going to sign up for a membership, but are holding off on that for now). Just found out I was mistaken about not getting the first timer’s discount and wanted to clarify on my review. We were very happy with our service."
"Great place! Emma does a great job and is really passionate! Definitely recommend!"
"Justin is the best therapist I've ever had. Not only was he such an expert and great at his technique, but we had great conversation throughout the massage. He taught me things about my issues I hadn't heard before and he even shared stretching/massage techniques I can try on myself. He was so friendly and I felt comfortable throughout. I'll plan to return everytime I'm in sparks!"
