"I have lived in Maui for 16 years and just now finally found the Sly Mongoose. I have always hear about and seen the tshirts but during a day trip to the west side to just explore we stumbled upon it. Excellent atmosphere and service and very clean. It’s a bar where you can sit and enjoy conversation around the bar and relax. I wish there were more water holes like it on the island and will definitely return."

"I love the man that works during the week he’s amazing and we had the perfect wedding party there. 2 days straight he was amazing. I go into the bar Saturday night and the lady working was horrible. She kicked out a 7 person party & us. She doesn’t want business & is ruining yours."

"OK, so I haven't been there for 7 years, but I think of this awesome bar often. We asked the bartender at our resort where he goes. We wanted to get away from the resorts and wanted a cool low key bar. Thought we were lost until we pulled up to the bar behind an industrial strip mall. I met some very cool locals there and we all drank and laughed all night. The bartender was awesome and so were the locals. I believe one of them was Carpet Dave and a guy named peg leg. Can't wait to go back one day."

"Probably the best Dive Bar in Maui. Although, I haven't visited any others. On the other hand, there aren't very many dive bars to be found ... We had great drinks, cheap prices, and a very friendly bartender, Jim."
