Reviews
"If you are a fan of noodle soups (eg ramen, pho, saimin) or of curry, and never had laksa, you should try it at least once! SingMaTei’s rendition tastes authentic. There was both mifun and saimin noodles inside, and the laksa broth was excellent. At $15.95 + tax for the tofu laksa, many other good (better?) choices could be had at the Makai Food Court, but I have to admit, the portions are generous - enough for two, if you’re not super hungry. 5 Stars. Hainan Chicken Rice didn’t taste very fresh and lacked flavor. Maybe lack of turnover from insufficient sales? 3 Stars."
"Always wanted to try this place. Had no idea what to order ended up with lemongrass chicken with the blue rice and a couple Thai teas. Overall an excellent value the meal was just under $15 and the tea $8. Next time I will likely skip the tea to make the meal more affordable and cut down on sugar. It was a large enough portion that me and hubby could share, probably not two hungry teenagers. Found the quality quite good. Would recommend asking for and paying if necessary for extra sauce, would have loved more, it was yummy. The staff was nice and tried to be helpful, however she didn't speak enough English to help with allergy questions."
"Located in the Ala Moana shopping center food court. It’s the mall, so lots of foot traffic and noise from everyone around. The food was enjoyable though. It was nice to find a laksa option. Food prices in general have gone up, but there a little more expensive compared to other offerings nearby. The quality of meat was good though and I did miss the laksa flavor. The shrimp appetizer was awesome too."
"The best Singaporean/Malaysian dishes in Waikiki area. The shrimp Laksa and the lemon grass chicken with coconut rice taste really good and rich in flavor. Slow service but it worth the wait."
"Amazing Malaysian food! All of it was delicious. They give a lot of meat! They have interesting combinations that you won't find on the mainland; at least not in the Midwest. The butterfly teas were good. Not as intensely flavored as nearby bubble tea shops. Note that they only serve large sizes for about $8. They add a lot of ice, so it may be worth asking for low ice. Quick service, 10 min for our 5 dishes. They give large portion sizes. 3 of us took half the food for later."
