"Great food, service and experience plus LOCATION!! Keep in mind they have hours where they are closed throughout the day, but lots of places to sit and enjoy the view of the caldera. Big beautiful fireplace with ample seating in the lobby area of volcano house which is where this restaurant is located. Two gift shops to browse while you wait. Food was fantastic! Service impeccable!"

"The soup was amazing, tomato bisque with grilled cheese is very delicious. Quantity was a bit much for us for all food we ordered. Chicken katsu was decent, sauce was good. Katsu lacked seasoning, but pickled veggies came to the rescue. Fish and chips were okay. Fish did not feel fresh and chips were okay."

"It definitely has an old school museum budget type feel. But you get an absolutely gorgeous view of the volcano and somewhere to eat inside the park. The staff is very friendly, the food was decent but not great. Great spot for taking a family though"

"Unique dining experience on the rim of the Kilauea crater. I’ve been twice and the first time the food was better. No photos from the first time (we must have gobbled it down) but I think I had fish and amazing Kona coffee ice cream. Super friendly waiter. Second time had ravioli as I could not find anything else appealing. The ribeye was fatty. No bread or salad included. Minimal convo from our waiter, although the table next to us did (maybe he could sense my disappointment?). Had a sorbet trio that was average. It used to have a cookie in it, now has pineapple with Tajjin I think. Thumbs down. Overall just bummed compared to our first time."
