"I forgot to take pictures. The food was fantastic. I had the sushi and soup combo. Sushi was fresh and delicious. The miso soup was good. The dynamite salmon was amazing!!! The food was really good quality, a good portion and well priced. I called in for a takeout order and the lady was lovely both on the phone and in person. The next time, I would love to eat at the restaurant. It was so cozy and welcoming. I would also get 2 orders of the salmon. It was that good."

"Exactly as charming as all the other reviews state! The atmosphere is so nostalgic, the food is really great, and it's a really cozy spot that I could see myself going to semi-regularly. Everything was delicious, but we especially enjoyed the dynamite salmon (we re-ordered another portion cuz the first was gobbled up so fast), the fresh sushi, the bitter melon stir fry and the hamachi collar :)"

"Best no frills, chill feel like you're in your grandparents’ living room eating a meal kind of a restaurant. Came for dinner before, lunch was also amazing. Lots of locals who know each other, we walked in and an older gentleman was casually doing magic tricks for the next table over. Loved the salmon dynamite, sushi also very good! Bob, no pretention, all delicious."

"All I can say is wow Would have loved to find this hidden gem earlier in our stay, we had the nigiri sushi combo, grilled mackerel, miso/pickle/rice, and the spare rib soup. All were delicious and amazing overall. The sushi was fantastic, best miso soup ever, spare rib soup was mind blowing, the meat was so tender it was incredible!!! The mackerel was cooked to perfection. Absolutely amazing all around. Highly recommend in every category."

"Authentic Okinawa food. Which is not quite the same is mainland Japanese food. Visits a few times for different items. Pork feet soup is a must. Okinawa soba is great. Bitter melon (goya) champuru is great as well. Fried squid is good for beer. Grilled salmon is good. Restaurant is small and they can get super busy. Definitively secure a spot with reservation. BYOB without corkage fee- alcoholic beverage from seven eleven next door gas station or Okinawa beer (Orion) from mitsuwa market at Waikiki. Seen locals with red wine, sake, local beer and etc."
