Reviews of Kona Boys, Inc.
"Found these guys online while looking for cool experiences for my 12 yr old son and I on holiday. They did not disappoint. Adam & Grant led a great kayak expedition across the bay to the reef for snorkeling and we got the bonus of having whales come visit the bay and sing songs for us! Easy to book online, thanks for taking Apple Pay by the way, and a great time executed by our guides. Highly recommend for a great experience while on Big Island."
"Our family went with Evan on a kayak/snorkel trip and it was just fantastic. We went relatively early and it was worth it as a very popular reef was near empty. Evan was super knowledgeable and easy going, enabling us and our kiddos to ask what easily could have been an exhausting amount of questions. Well versed on the history and the biology of the island, Evan made trip both a fun sightseeing excursion as well as informative. Lunch was delicious!"
"We had the BEST possible experience with the Kona Boys on our trip to the big island! I highly recommend snorkeling in the captian cook area, and accessing it via kayaks was 1000% the move. You feel like you are disturbing this beautiful place the least amount and the paddle over was easy and enjoyable! We were incredibly lucky to see the dolphins from a distance while paddling over to the snorkel zone, and then while we were in the water, the dolphins approached US! It was nothing short of magic. Our guides Bamm and Steve were passionate about sharing this place with us, and also super informative about the history of the island which was such an unexpected bonus of the tour. We can't thank you guys enough!"
"Incredible morning, from check in to landing the kayak. The owner was very helpful and accommodating - directions about the day very clear. The 2 guides, Ray and Bamm, were great - giving us all the help and information needed. My new mask broke about a minute in, and they quickly helped get another one in place. One of us had never kayaked before, and felt comfortable given the support of the guides. Everything about our day was pretty special. I would highly recommend going with them to the monument on their morning kayak trip. I’m sure it will be a highlight of our trip."
"We did the morning Kayak & Snorkel tour to Kealakekua Bay with Steve and Ray. Absolutely fantastic!!! We were so happy we went early and got to the bay before all the boats arrived allowing us to snorkel without the crowds. The kayaking was fun and we saw spinner dolphins along the way. Especially enjoyed lunch from a local cafe with sandwiches made with fresh bread and home made cookies. During lunch we sat at the Captain Cook monument and learned about the history of the place. Highest recommendations! Support local business and book this tour."
