"Service was really slow. We had to wait for a table when multiple were available. We wanted to get started with a drink while looking at the menu, but had to wait until they took our order. It would have been nice to get our appetizer first, but everything came out all at once. On the upside the good was really good and the servers were really nice."
"No frills spot with great service and beautifully crafted/innovative dishes. While sushi is the star of the show, the chicken katsu is a 10/10 option if you don't like fish/shellfish. They also make their own soy sauce, which elevates everything!"
"I’ll preface this by saying I lived in Japan for five years. Phenomenal sushi. We had a variety and everything was great. Pineapple and fried shrimp was great, my son ordered a second miso soup as he liked his first so much. Order the Flaming Phoenix (shown in my video) and have your camera ready! Rainbow roll was another highlight. Service was slow and confused. She dumped three full glasses of ice water on our table and the floor. We ordered three appetizers but they came after the entrees. We were a group of five and they charged us a mandatory 20% tip. Three dollars for a green tea but no offer for more hot water. It was quite loud as well, so conversation with my husband who was sitting beside me was challenging. $260 all in, no drinks other than two green teas."
"Sushi Spot Waikiki, run by a Korean owner, was truly an excellent experience. From the moment we walked in, the owner greeted us warmly and provided exceptional service. The quality of the food was top-notch, and the menu was diverse with fresh ingredients. The taste and aroma of the sushi were outstanding, with each piece delicately prepared and melting in our mouths. The staff was also very friendly and professional, always quick and accurate in attending to our requests. Additionally, the fact that this sushi restaurant was run by a Korean owner in Hawaii added to its charm. The owner's passion and dedication were evident in both the food and service, making it a truly special experience. I highly recommend this place and encourage others to visit."
"This place was absolutely phenomenal. It was right across the street so we went for the convenience. It absolutely blew us out of the water. I am from Idaho and so the bar for good sushi is very low and this completely raised it. Staff are all very friendly and very interactive. I would 100% recommend this place for anyone looking for amazing sushi. Also, the pineapple shrimp is absolutely amazing. So so good. We will be back before the end of our trip."
