"Unfortunately, John has had to close for business temporarily. But I spoke with him on the phone and he hopes to be back up and running for the New Year. That's quite a blow to my family as we've been buying Langenstein Kona coffee for well over 10 years and it is by far the best Kona coffee. Personally, I think this is the best coffee I have ever had in my life. John uses a dry roast and his medium roast leaves the bean a gorgeous light brown. You can prepare this coffee strong, but its best flavors come out when you prepare with the recommended amount. It's extraordinarily smooth, but intensely rich in flavor. Mellow, yet full-bodied, earthy but delicate. I wouldn't try to describe the actual flavors because this coffee doesn't hit you with obvious overt sensations like chocolate or caramel or walnut or whatever. It's the coffee of coffees. It's what coffee is supposed to taste like. It's insanely wonderful and every time I brew a pot for visitors and friends, they all stop drinking after a few sips, look up and stare at me and ask, "What is this coffee? Where did you get this? This is amazing!" So that's my review. I can't wait for John to re-open for business so I can get back to drinking the best coffee in the world! Hopefully that will be very very soon. "The coffee is wonderful. I have tried the Vienna roast and the medium roast. both excellent but I prefer the medium roast. The milk chocolate covered macadamia nuts are amazing! When I can't be on the island, drinking a cup of this is the next best thing!"
