"Sales team will call you ten times in 3 minutes and then proceed to threaten you that they know where you live.Then the “vp” of sales will tell you it’s normal for them to call you 10xs and that it wasn’t a threat. Edit it was 18 times. Edit #2 Hour later I was mysteriously signed up for Angie’s list for a cleaning at the address provided. These guys are petty."

"Monday, had no hot water. Called HSC. Plummer was sent out on Tuesday, he said there should be no reason my Hot Water Heater needed to be replace. Claim was denied. What on earth is the purpose for a home warranty if the company that claimes gives you peace of mind lacks integrity."

"Absolute sham of a company. It is beyond comprehension that this company hasn't been shut down yet. My furnace busted 3 months ago and I called them for someone to come out. They told me that someone would come out in 24 hours. Nobody came, no email notification. I called again a few days later. "24 hours and an email confirmation". Again nothing. 3 weeks of this later, and I got an email confirmation that someone is coming out. Nobody came. I called the company that was supposed to be doing this and they didn't know who home service club was. I called home service club again. They finally sent someone out, the guy told me that it needed to be fixed and he will send in the paperwork immediately. 4 days later, I called home service club and they said the technician never sent in the paperwork. I called the HVAC company and was told that the home service club website was down and wasn't able to send in the report. 2 more months of this and 7 calls later, I was finally able to get to the supervisor where I was given the options of a.) getting another technician out within 24 hours (lost count how many times I heard that) b.) getting my own technician and getting reimbursed by home service club (fat chance they'll actually pay out due to "technical difficulties") or c.) cancel and get a refund - coverage for the previous time active (which was evidently not covered at all) - cancellation fee. Hopefully the better business bureau can take care of this company so others don't have to go through this."

"Wish I could give them negative stars. Bunch of crooks. Don’t know how I fell for them. Signed up for 5 years. Absolutely ridiculous service. I already put in a cancellation as of 12-29-2023. I was told I would get an email within 24 hours. Nothing yet. Hopefully, they canceled. Will find out tomorrow. They deducted whatever they paid me from my remaining refund. Any time you put in a request, it takes days and then send someone who is not experienced at all. And then deny your claim. This is their process. I had a water leak. Since the water was on the floor, they concluded that it is a slab leak and not covered. I investigated myself and found out that it was because I drilled a hole in the drain pipe. I disputed the denial, but would not listen. When I said I want to cancel, they offered $150. But, then I finally cancelled, so they deducted that from my remaining refund. They claim best on their website for many years. B.S. Absolutely absurd."

"Horrible customer service! Do not recommend this company! We purchased a warranty policy May of 2023. July we called to make a claim as our heat pump stopped working. They were never able to find a technician to come out, instead of communicating this information they just closed the ticket. I called asking what the status of our repair was and was told they had it down as an air conditioning unit not a heat pump. They opened a new ticket. I again was not getting any notification that a technician was coming out, called again to find out they were still looking for someone to service the air conditioning. I then made a 3rd request stating the heating was not working. I made over 8 phone calls, Each time being told it was being worked on. I repeatedly asked to speak to a Manager, I was told they can't transfer me to one. I then tell them I want to cancel the service because they are doing nothing! I was then transferred to a manager, he asked that I give them 3 working days to make this right. Again, no return call, no technician scheduled to come out. I called again fed up and way past fed up hearing they understand and that they're working on it. Told them that's not acceptable at this point! How long do I have to wait? I told the 2nd manager I spoke with to put herself in my shoes. She told me she couldn't do that. I cancelled the policy and I am out an additional 200 dollars. I had to pay a cancelation fee and a pro rated monthly fee for each month I had this service that I couldn't get any help from! They say it will be 15 to 30 days and they will put check in the mail. I have no faith that will happen and no faith in this company! DO NOT PURCHASE WARRANTY PRODUCT FROM THIS COMPANY!!"
