"Amazing baked goods but the place lives a bit in the past which makes it pretty inconvenient: cash or check only; 4 people allowed inside at one time (they yell at customers to enforce this); max 3 of the same items per order. This place would be slammed if it wasn't so hard to spend money here."
"The woman working was getting the entire restaurant served pretty efficiently all by herself. The food was pricey for the amount but it was delicious. They only take cash which is annoying but otherwise I was very happy with breakfast. Had the best scone I’ve ever had."
"Love this little gem we found coming back from the mountain. Trina our server was lovely and attentive. She made sure that with the busy morning flow we felt welcome. The restaurant literally runs on 3 people! Please be patient and kind, know to bring your cash or check to pay (atm available nearby). They pride themselves on operating as a small personal business and it has very nice cafe feel in the morning. So now on the food aspect! Amazing! We love the coffee, crepes and Benedict’s. I went inside because we heard the pastries are phenomenal as well and got the raspberry danish, my mind was blown. We loved everything so much that we plan to come back for dinner soon! Thank you La Provence!"
"What a rare jem to find a French Restaurant near the base of the Haleakala Mountain! Trina was a great host working the cafe bar making all sorts of espresso drinks & serving french inspired cuisine. Menu is small but well crafted! Be sure to leave some room for the french baked goods! The sticky buns were highly recommended!"
"Wowowow. This place is INCREDIBLE. I had the crab cake eggs benedict, and my husband had the crab and spinach crepe. Both were phenomenal. My husband continuously said he thinks it's one of the best meals he's ever eaten. The added salad was a bonus surprise and whatever the dressing combo was, it was unbeatable. There were a lot of people waiting in line for pastries when we arrived, and the one waitress was taking counter pastry/coffee orders AND waitressing for dine-in and bussing tables all on her own. She did so all the while keeping a huge smile on her face and being sweet to everyone. Trina herself is a reason to come visit! Some things to know: - Breakfast doesn't start as soon as the restaurant opens. For the first hour they are open, they only serve patisserie and coffee. - Cash or check only (there is an ATM about a mile down the road if needed). - You still need a mask to go inside to order pastries, so make sure you have one with you. - You NEED to try this place!"
