"It's fine. Loco moco was ok. beef patties were like dry almost rubber like meat discs. not fresh ground meat patties. gravy had enough flavor to be passable but was almost bland. mac salad is essentially mayo and mac, nothing special compared to other Mac salad on the island. fried eggs are fried eggs."

"Finally made my way to Rainbow. Ordered a plate of Loco Moco. Good size and good price ($12). Lots of people on Saturday, both locals and tourists. Good atmosphere. A good place to visit if you are a tourist. If you live on the island, then it may not be worth fighting the traffic to get here. But it's definitely worth stopping if you are around."

"Stumbled on this place the day we arrived in Waikiki and remembered it from an old Diners, Drive-ins, Dives episode. So glad we saw it! We got the loco moco and chili dog plates - chef’s kiss. Can’t go wrong with this comfort food. Food comes out super quick"

"I just wanted to try this iconic Hawaiian food stop. I had the Loco moco plate with extra gravy. It was alright. I think if they used a homemade burger patty, it would make the dish 10 times better. The gravy was good, and the rice and Mac salad were also delicious. The parking was non-existent when we first pulled up (it was about 12 noon), but after we ordered and received our food order, you could choose a parking stall. What's cool is that there's a shave ice spot right behind the drive-in. I'll also review that immediately after this post."

"We thought we were in for some great food because there was a good size line on a Saturday afternoon, but we were sorely disappointed. The line moved quickly, but the girl helping us wasn’t very friendly (yes, we knew what to order when it was our turn). We got our food pretty quick- a boneless chicken with gravy plate, a moco loco plate, and chili cheese fries. The portions are big- easily shareable between 2 people. Nothing had flavor. Nothing. It was comparable to cafeteria food. We can only assume this place is more for nostalgia than quality."
