"Very friendly staff, mama-san came and hung out at our table, the order the dishes came out was excellent and all played very nicely together. The combinations of miso, salt, like, wasabi, ginger and more were all expertly utilized.chef Hiro and waitress miyuki did a great job explaining what to eat with what and how to combine the flavors properly. Dinner was $110, plus tip, totally worth. You could really taste the quality of the ingredients. My favorites were the amaebi, chuutoro, and Tako dishes."

"Incredible omakase, really a hidden gem of a place. The owners are incredibly kind, and have a great sense of humor, but above all they serve up some delicious food! This is one of the best meals I've had, competing with some Michelin starred omakase places, for far less in price and in exclusivity. Would recommend to anyone coming to Honolulu!"

"As a picky eater as I am, I can say that I had the best omakase here. I didn’t have a reservation because I didn’t plan to come here, but the owners kindly took us in, I felt bad afterwards because it was kind of making them work overtime (so if you want to come here, make a reservation!). It was a quiet more home-style restaurant, and the owner really knows how to make sushi. It reminds me of midnight diner, if you’ve watched that show before. This place is BYOB, and you can get your drink from times supermarket which was just 1 min walk from the restaurant (real nice on a stormy night!). I like BYOB a lot since you’re really paying for the food not markup for the drinks. The night we dined in, there was a rare blizzard warning in oahu, so we luckily got to enjoy the whole restaurant and the owners’ service to ourselves. The owners are very nice to talk to. Above all this, the portion is good. Just when we thought it’s over, there was 3 more courses coming! I highly recommend this place and will definitely go back again if I have a chance."
