"Love this place from their food to the service. We tried the UBE Pancakes which essentially is pancakes with Taro (purple sweet potato) sauce. YUMMY! The best pancakes I had on any of the Hawaiian islands! Another word to their service: from consultation at the cashier about the different food options to being served, the staff did an outstanding job to make us feel welcome, happy and taken care of. If I could, I’d give service 6 stars!"
"Great place for breakfast. I got the Koa Breakfast Burrito, which was a total bargain at $6.99 -- it's considered a "small bite", but it's actually pretty sizable, and was the perfect amount for me. Loved the Portuguese sausage in it! Wife got a spinach/mushroom/cheese omelette, which she enjoyed -- especially since they paid attention to her request to go light on the cheese. Daughter got spam fried rice with a stack of pancakes, which were both tasty. Coffee was excellent. Service was quick and super-friendly -- the workers there seem like a family, rather than just a bunch of drones. Decor is nice considering it's a basic diner-type place -- I liked the dark wood walls, which I'm assuming are koa (or at least intended to suggest koa wood). We'll definitely come back next time we're in town!"
"My fiancé and I came to Koa as they were the only breakfast place around the area without a wait time of over 80min, but our experience was kind of underwhelming. I ordered the Koa Benedict and he ordered the Breakfast Burrito & the Koa Burrito. My eggs were just boiled eggs instead of poached, and I had random bits of fried rice from a different dish on my plate. As for the burritos, they first brought us a dish meant for a different table, and after almost 30min of no burritos they finally brought them over after we asked where they were. The tortillas were kind of stale. Overall, a disappointing experience as the food wasn’t even terrible, but coupled with everything else it left us feeling meh."
"Easy to order - either at the table with QR code or simply order at counter. Friendly aloha and happy employees. Menu vast variety of diner meals including local Hawaiian style. They take great pride in keeping the diner very clean, love the total experience. Grew at for family and large groups. Fast service. My order was cooked properly. Will return with friends :)"
