Reviews of Waikiki Food Hall Co.
"I really enjoy this place! I’ve gone a few times- always in the middle of the day (between 12p-3p or so). It’s always shockingly desolate when I go (even considering the awkward time of day that I go). But the atmosphere is IDEAL here. I imagine that the hall could get so lively at night. There’s a multitude of different food/snack/drink options. I always just grab and drink and find a spot to chill and read a book. I’m always looking for casual places to chill like this, so I’m so grateful that this place opened. It is also so convenient when you want to hang out with a few people, because there’s so many options for different food and drink items that different people want to get. Parking is available in the regular lot for the Royal Hawaiian (if there are open spots) and they do validate at the Food Hall with your purchase."
"This is a pretty funky food court which makes you feel like you've been dropped into the middle of Tokyo. The atmosphere definitely is "tropical" and the owner has absolutely crushed it in creating an authentic Hawaiian atmosphere fused with Japan. Almost all shops are Japanese comfort food and some have the Hawaiian twist like Five Star Shrimp. The steak from there was okay but made up for the butter rice. Potama was awesome with fresh made onigiri / musubi and definitely brought in each flavor twist in addition to the basic formula of spam and egg. The food court is a bit tough to find as you have to go all the way up to tumhe 3rd floor but it really is a unique experience. And so many photo-worthy decorations!"
"Came here on our first night in honolulu. This place is more the style of my family than the big resturants down on the street. We knew it was here but actually getting to it after a few drinks was tricky for us. Lots of nice options to choose from and a variety of flavors. We got the shrimp, masubi roll, fries and beers. Prices were decent and food was all tasty. The ordering system was kinda weird paying several times for each different booth but i understand why they do it this way which was kinda cool. Vibe here is chill and layed back. Family friendly atmosphere. Great place for those who dont want the big sit diwn resturant. They need to set up a self serve water station so you dont have to bother the guy at the ordering area."
"This place is such a vibe! The food is great, the seating area is comfy, and the service is friendly everywhere. We got food based on review recommendations and they were all on point, the beef/chicken combo in particular. On Saturday nights (6-8pm) there's live music that's definitely worth catching. As others have mentioned, the payment system is ridiculous. Don't be discouraged, just bring a fiver to tip the cashier, who suffers much more than we do."
