Ginza Sushi

"Plenty of parking was indeed a highlight of our experience at this establishment. However, the overall experience fell short in terms of food, service, and ambiance, making it challenging to recommend to friends and family. Regarding the food, the Omakase sushi priced at $29.00 seemed reasonable, but it was disappointingly made. Each piece lacked cohesion, with the rice and fish separating. The quality of the fish did not seem to justify its price. The miso soup lacked consistency and leaned towards being overly salty. The salad dressing was overly drenched, making it barely edible, and the edamame was undercooked and lacked seasoning. In terms of service, while the waiter was pleasant, their performance did not meet the standards that would justify an 18% gratuity tip. Perhaps the need for multiple water refills due to the excessively salty food contributed to this perception. As for the ambiance, there was nothing authentically Japanese or atmospherically special about the restaurant. The design felt clumsy, and the greasy floor was a significant disappointment, making the dining experience unpleasant due to chairs sliding around uncomfortably. Overall, while the ample parking was a positive aspect, the deficiencies in food quality, service, and ambiance make it difficult to recommend this establishment to others."

"So you're probably not going to think this place is much, especially if you're a tourist. This looks like some random sushi place in a mall area, but don't let the location deceive you. This place was one of our favorites during our entire week in Hawaii. The quality of the sushi was amazing and the portions were generous. The price was also very reasonable and the service was great (mind you, we weren't there in peak dining hours). I would definitely come back here next time we visit Hawaii."

"We had a little "hair-raising" adventure at the sushi spot last night. Picture this: our sushi roll arrives, and surprise! There's a long hair nestled in there, uninvited. Instant appetite vanishing act. Then came the poke bowl, and let's just say it didn't exactly "bowl" us over with flavor. It tastes strange and we did not like it. We decided to show our follicular find to the owner, who, in a bold move, suggested that maybe the hair had some daredevil ambitions and parachuted in from a passerby. I mean, it's the most adventurous hair we've ever met! But wait, it gets even "fishier." The owner generously offered a 50% discount, claiming the restaurant needed to cover the cost of our hair-raising experience. A discount, or perhaps a hair-care voucher? We did not even have a chance to eat much since the hair experience and a poor tasting poke ruined the appetite. The owner just cannot stay honest, there are cooking team members with hair. He is not the only person working at the restaurant. It should not even matter where the hair came from if it was delivered with your food. Just admit and try to make it right. And just when we thought the plot couldn't thicken any further, five minutes later, a plate-snatching operation unfolded before our eyes, as if they were worried we'd turn into culinary bandits. "No more bites for you!" Or maybe they tried to reuse the food. In a world where service is spot-on, we'd expect the poke and sushi roll to be on the house after the hair debacle and strange tasting poke. But hey, who knew dining out could provide such unexpected twists and "hairy" turns?"

"A little “hole in the wall” in Kaka’ako. The owner is there every day and makes sure the customers are taken care of. I have had sushi all over the island but this place has excellent quality sushi. If you want great fish and like the local Aloha vibe. This place is for you."

Best food my boyfriend and i have had while visiting. We had the salmon lovers, the bomb roll & twister roll, happened to be our servers favorite and now ours!"
