Musubi Cafe IYASUME

"I ♥️ SPAM. The place is quite small, but there are a few tables/seating inside where you can wait and eat. You can also wait outside if it gets too crowded. The menu and ordering process is pretty simple. My favorites were the basic spam musubi and the salmon seaweed onigiri. These can be a great snack on the go or even a full meal (okay, maybe you have to eat 2+). Grab a few, go to the beach, go hiking, drive around the coast, take your pick!"

"Honestly I didn't expect to like this place as much as I did. A small shop in Waikiki that was close to my hotel. There was always a line in the morning so I knew there was potential but wasn't sure if it was just because it was convenient or good food. The answer is definitely both. With many tourists needing a grab and go meal before their next adventure snorkeling, driving, going to the beach, Musubi Cafe is a fantastic almost unbeatable option. Homemade vibes with $2-$4 per packed musubi, it's hard to beat. The eel egg spam was featured in a news article at the shop so I had to try it and the lady at the counter also recommended the bacon avacado spam. The eel egg was definitely unique (putting a high end twist to the musubi concept) and flavorful. And the bacon avacado spam definitely pleases the American palate. Tastes very much like an American breakfast. But to me and my wife, you couldn't top the egg and spam musubi. Simple but more than just the spam since the egg compliments it and accentuates it just right. And the price is definitely right too. The rice balls I felt were not as flavorful and mostly rice. I'd recommend the traditional musubis. We ended up picking some up before a beach day and some up before our flight back to the mainland. There's no dine in option and little waiting room inside so you line up outside until your number is called over the speaker. Highly recommend as a very useful and tasty option."

"This is a great stop for a light snack or lunch when shopping. The line is always long, though, and it doesn’t move the fastest but it gives you time to check out all the food items (see picture) as you head toward the register. As you can see their musubis are WELL STUFFED! (Kombu one below). Lots of options for vegetarians or even vegans! It’s located in the Lanai Food Court so just buy and find a table!!"

"It’s a very pleasant place for fast not expensive Mutsubi lunch. I ordered mutsubi with eel and ikura. Both were good. Price is cheap. Their rice bowl with eel was good and cheap too. There are three tables if you want to eat there. Most people take food away but we enjoyed it inside. You can eat there for 10-15 dollars and enjoy it"

"This is a must for breakfast. I always order the salmon and roe musubi. I know everyone comes here for the spam but these triangle goodness is the best. The line does get quite long as sometimes it takes 25-35 mins to get your food. But you know it worth the wait eating these fresh!"
