"I have passed by this spot so many times in the afternoon & it was always CLOSED. I figured it was a victim of the Pandemic. Yesterday I rode my bike to the U.S post office & noticed a line & ALL tables taken. Curious I walked in and saw the simple menu plastered on the wall. PERFECT. I returned TODAY and ordered their take on French Toast. I was totally impressed with the presentation, my EYES enjoyed the meal as much as my taste buds did. This eatery is a MUST when in Waikiki just at the end of the strip across from the Waikiki Post office. If you want to experience something NEW & exciting this is the place. TRUST ME!!"
"This is a very mixed review, some of the items we ordered were really good and some were not (I would suggest not ordering). The first item that I wouldn’t ever order again was the “Avocado Toast” MP (it was $19+) and it wasn’t very good. On a half slice of bread, was the black bean hummus, then a half an avocado sliced with the seaweed on top. I am not sure if the seaweed was supposed to replace the “seasonal sprouts” because there weren’t any sprouts on this. Also, there were any Peruvian peppers. The “black bean hummus” tasted like canned black beans as a paste (not very good). We also order the Traditional Cuban breakfast with the local fruit, the Brisket breakfast sandwich, and the Cubano, all of these were very good. For drinks, we ordered a regular cup of coffee, a latte, and an iced mocha. The coffee they use was very flavorful. There wasn’t any type of presentation for the latte (I had seen some in pictures that look like the foam had a heart design). Most of the seating is outdoors, but there are a few tables inside. This is located close to all of the hotels in Waikiki and I would suggest walking because there is only street parking that is metered."
"Out of this world incredible food. Went with a group and got pictures of some of the items but everything we ate was incredible. The fruit bowls and French toast are works of art. The sandwiches are filled with flavor. The wait time was 20~ min for a walk in but the staff was super friendly and accommodating and the location is tiny so it makes sense. One noteworthy takeaway: When it comes to the brisket sandwiches (breakfast vs lunch) the brisket lunch sandwhich (pictured) is CONSIDERABLY better than the breakfast and was the item we ordered."
"Only ⭐⭐⭐⭐ star because the meats was lacking a little flavor. But they did provide me with a house salsa. That was excellent and made the sandwiches. The portion size of the sandwiches were very large but they could have done a better job trimming some of the fat off the brisket. French toast was phenomenal. Probably one of the best I've had also. Also had a side of black beans but also were pretty bland but again adding little salsa gave it the flavor it needed. Also, the coffee options are excellent"
