"I DO NOT recommend any dealings with this organization. The seller was very communicative, however, they blatantly cleared all of the mechanical issues using an on-board diagnostics (OBD) reader (very dubious). So far, I've had to make several trips to my vehicle technician to remedy the numerous issues with my vehicle (costing thousands). I'm aware use vehicles come with problems, but deliberately hiding massive flaws to make a sale is extremely unprofessional."

After running into some trouble with the transmission and oil, John was extremely compassionate and quick to help me out with both repairs, even providing me with a loaner vehicle. "My husband and I purchased a 2008 Prius in August from Islandʻs Best Auto. The gentleman who showed us the car was friendly and communicative. Upon purchase, we drove the car from Hawaii Kai to Kapolei, and the check engine light came on. Took it to a mechanic for diagnosis, the code showed a problem with the catalytic converter. Seller referred us to their mechanic, who kept the car for 2 days, and failed to identify any issues. We were told that Prius's are finicky in Hawaii’s hot and humid weather. Drove the car sparingly while trying to diagnose the problem - I don't like driving with a CEL on. Not long after, the “red triangle of death” flashed on, and the car is showing a hybrid battery related code as well as the catalytic code. The car is now unsafe to drive, and has been sitting in the garage. We bought it in good faith that it was in working order - we are now out 6k and looking at thousands of dollars in repairs to get it back on the road, less than 2 months after purchasing it. This is beyond stressful, particularly in these tough economic times. Ultimately, I highly recommend you look elsewhere for a vehicle."
