Reviews
"We drove here after reading reviews about the other location having too many flies. No fly problem here. Seating was open seating at wooden tables with overhead covering from rain. We encountered an angry, yelling, unintelligible man (not a tourist) nearby that kinda tainted the experience, but I do not know if this is a regular occurrence. For the shrimp, my wife and I got half scampi and half lemon butter for $17. It was good shrimp, but we weren't blown away. The scampi was a little spicy. The lemon butter flavor was a little mild to me. Most of the flavor was in the shell, so I wish I sucked the shell as I peeled maybe? Not sure what the best way is. Rice was very buttery and flavorful. Wouldn't drive all the way here, but if I was in the area and craving "North Shore shrimp," I wouldn't mind. 4 stars."
"My uncle took me to this place, and I'm glad he did. It's nestled in a Farmers Market/Street Fair sort of vibe with a bunch of random stalls selling food, touristy souvenirs, clothing, etc. The line can get very long, but it goes fast. They are known for their shrimp, and although it's a simple plate lunch, the taste of the shrimp is very good. We got the lemon butter plate and the scampi plate. They both entail a good portion of shrimp and two small scoops of mediocre rice. I'm glad they gave such a small portion of rice because I would've felt bad throwing it away if it had been more. The scampi is saturated in a nice garlicky sauce, and the lemon butter is exactly as advertised. For $16 each, the shrimp portion is good, and it does fill you up. You must deshell and detail yourself, but it makes it part of the experience. They prefer cash, and if you pay with a card, you'll be taxed, and they add 3% fee. I'm glad I came here, but next time I think I'll try a different place. Just beyond this place are more restaurants that offer shrimp as well and it would be interesting to compare. However, I would recommend this place."
"We visited the other location last December & had to come back. Scampi was delicious & very garlicky. There was a short wait to order & then an understandably long wait for the three orders. The hot sauce has to be requested extra at the end. No cost -- & strong! Restrooms are not far & there is a lot of very casual seating in dun & shade. Parking was as a premium. Hand washing station was much appreciated. There are many other businesses around that I'm told have come seeking the same success. A great and memorable meal!"
"Super cool shrimp truck with delicious food! I really enjoyed the shrimp scampi that comes with delicious garlic rice. The hot and spicy was quite spicy, and uses a specific type of spice that I was not the most accustomed to, so unless you know what you are getting into, I would recommend sticking with the normal one. Pretty good portions! Nice little shack with lots of seats and plenty of parking as well!"
