"We enjoyed our evening at Germaine's Luau. The show was top notch and very professionally done. Walk over to the fence for a magnificent view of the ocean and gorgeous sunset. The buffet style food was decent and included lettuce and pasta salad, cole slaw, rice, pork, beef, fish, chicken, rolls & butter, white cake, poi, and several other items I've forgotten. The alcoholic drinks were tropical Hawaiian type drinks but others could be ordered. The bar tenders were friendly and helpful. The soda and iced tea were free. Don't buy a tall clear souvenir glass... that was the gift at the end of the evening. We stayed in Waikiki, so this venue was a bit of a drive for us in rush hour traffic. I think it took 45+ minutes to get there and is located in an industrial area but was set back and was quiet and secluded. It felt very safe and had plenty of parking. Wear shoes or flip flops as it's in the sand. Bring a raincoat or poncho. Do not go barefoot. (We saw some cats running around and using the sand as a litter box.) Overall, I felt the event was a good value for an all-you-can-eat and a show."
"I loved coming here! The show was a lot of fun. Everyone was nice. When you get close it's a pretty industrious area, but the luau itself is beachfront and beautiful."
"We have been visiting Oahu for almost 30 years and always go to Germaine's and have a wonderful time. It always put us in the Aloha frame of mind. But it certainly changed a lot since perhaps covid? We really saw a lot of changes since they now charge to park (not included in your large admission fee) and the food was quite bland. Add to that the fact the show seemed very very rushed. Guess it seemed like everything was in fast motion to get it over with. It still has one of the best settings though since it is right on the beach."
"My partner and I really enjoyed Germaine’s Luau! We purchased the cheapest package (120$ each) as well as the transportation (35$ each) and it was well worth the price tag. We had a great experience - easy hotel pick up, comfy transportation, we had a great driver named Larry who was funny and informative. He really set the mood for the night. The Luau itself was fantastic! It was rather intimate (approx 125 people). The food was delicious with lots of selection - salads, slaw, pork, chicken, beef, fish, buns, desserts and MORE. The grounds and seating were great! Not really a bad seat in the house, the tables are staggered and the stage is raised to allow for good sight lines. Beautiful sunset views, crashing waves ambiance and gorgeous lush surroundings. The grounds are mostly sand so wear shoes! The entertainment was spectacular! The hostess has a phenomenal voice, the dancers are so talented. The drinks are 10/10 and bartenders were very funny and friendly. Would highly recommend coming to Germaine’s Luau."
"Great place to go for a Luau. The food was good and its all you can eat buffet if you're extra hungry. Good variety of local delicacies on the buffet. But the show is entirely and without a doubt, the best part of the whole experience. Lots of Polynesian dance routines, all with a very explanation of what each dance represents. It is well worth the price."
