"Terrible service/experience. This place looked promising, I like dive bars and hole in the wall pub’s so we gave it a try. Once inside we found plenty TVs, pool tables, and live band setup. The waitress came, asked for IDs before ordering drinks, IDs provided, for no known reason I was requested/required to show my debit/credit card along with my drivers license, I’m well over the age of 21 and this made no sense. It was not requested/required for others at the table. I was then told that without showing my debit/credit card I would not be served. Needless to say, we left and walked down street to a much better bar with fantastic service and food. I would NOT recommend Tropics Waikiki Pub."

"The food was good, but the 9 chips on the side isn’t quite enough to be considered a side. The burrito was good. The fish tacos weren’t that expensive, but it was only two small tacos. While we were seated we watched 3 groups come, sit down at the empty tables available, which were all dirty, and then leave after waiting five minutes and getting no service. The potential is here, and it appeared that there was enough staff if the people behind the bar cared enough to work. Three were mostly standing around while one waitress did all the bussing and serving."

"The food was edible but nothing I would eat again and the portions were so small we need to go eat a second dinner. Server was nice and quick. Would not recommend at all!"

"Hole in the wall?! Not sure if we came at a slow time but I’m not sure why this place was empty. Some of the best food we have had on the island and it happened to be a block away from our rental. Prices are very reasonable for quality and location. We had 2 pizzas, 2 sides and great local beers!"
