"Would have loved to give better review. Setting and staff were great, mediocre salad and cod entree did not impress. Both wife and i got the tail end cut of fish that was soaked in miso to kill the taste; if it ain’t fresh you can’t make it taste good with sauce. Maybe we got there later in evening and they just ran out, but for high end price, go for view and a drink: food cost is def on their minds. Expected more of a four seasons resort restaurant. Fish Tacos at pool way better…"

"We have been looking forward to dining at Mina's Fish House for a long time. When our friends asked us to go, we we elated. We had bad timing on the weather because it was raining. We were seated at the rear seating area across from the pool. We had some great wine, and I thought my drink served in a SPAM can was delicious. The chocolate mousse dessert with kona ice cream was very good but also very small. The restaurant had a guitar vocalist who was very good. That was it for the highlights. The restaurant was not very busy, probably due to the weather. The server was slow and sometimes missing altogether. It took her several trips to the table to get the wine, come back with an opener, and come back again with the glasses. The rest of the attendants were very good, picking up our plates and keeping our water glasses full. I ordered the double pork chop, which came medium. She repeated it was cooked medium several times, which should have been a clue. It arrived medium well and very dry. It came with hawaiian yam and star fruit. I ordered broccollini on the side, which was too spicy because it was covered with Fresno peppers. Our friend ordered the lobster pot pie. At $115, I thought it was overpriced. The person who served it did an excellent job in its presentation. My wife had the salmon. She said it was nothing spectacular. Our other friend had the black Cod who said it was just okay. Probably won't be back, but at least we gave it a try."

"I was here 2 times, the first time I liked it more, we ordered some kind of raw seafood plate for $125, there was so little food, we didn’t even get enough, but every piece was so tasty and fresh, it was probably worth it, because I I've never eaten tuna like this before. The second time we ordered Kona Kanpachi Half Fish, in other words, white fish with herbs for $115, but it’s not worth it, it tastes like ordinary fish, we weren’t even satisfied, we left hungry. The views are amazing and the food/size and prices don't match. The service is excellent!"

"Simply an amazing time! Great food, atmosphere, waitress, and company! Our table was outside with a beautiful view of the water. They had a live singer and my goodness could he sing! Our waitress and the entire staff that helped take care of us did an amazing job! The entire night was seamless! The menu not only had lovely fish options it also has pork, chicken, beef, and vegetarian options. If you enjoy a beautiful chilled seafood tower to start your meal make sure you order one! Not only are they lovely to look at they have several delicious items to please your palate!"

"Came here for our anniversary and had a wonderful experience. Our waiter, Damon was very attentive and friendly. He went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with our meal. The atmosphere was inviting and the view was beautiful. Huge wine selection and creative mixed drinks. We will recommend to our friends."
