"Beautiful gardens. We did the guided bus tour. The guide was amazing. There are a lot of species of trees here and you get to hear about them in a very interesting way. We also got to see the albatross babies, mating dance and parent albatross gliding through the air."
"Pricey admission for a backpacker but I found the peanut gallery worth it. Very informative for a botany and culture lover. I learned a lot from our tour guide. I really liked so the extra details she shared. Great visionary couple who started this place."
"We didn't get to see all of the gardens. What we saw was amazing. The tour guide was very knowledgeable, didn't rush anyone, and answered all of our questions. You have to schedule in advance and recommend checking the website for tour types and days available."
"We stumbled on this place by accident, but really enjoyed our walk through. The volunteers are knowledgeable and really care about the gardens and their story. Buy tickets in advance online, because otherwise you might not get in."
"A must visit place if you are in Kauai. The history behind this is just as incredible as the landscape. Almost every tropical plant you can think of is present here. They have tours at certain days mostly either at 9am or 1pm which run for about 3 hours. There is a walking and non-walking tour (via cart). You start off with Albatross nesting grounds, to the forests and finally to the gardens. Bronze statues are locate throughout the premises which are a testament to the vision and creativity of one of the founders. If you love the mingling of nature and creativity, this place is right for you."
