"Large portions for medium but broth lacked flavor. Order the chicken or beef skewers they were the best things we ate here. Prices were reasonable. Very humble and relaxed atmosphere."
"We found this restaurant when planning our trip to Kauai and decided to give it a try out first night. We all got the Wonton Saimin and were super impressed. It was amazing. The pie was also worth getting if you have room, but the Saimin was filling. I think we will be going back at some point on the trip since it was that good, especially because they had a chicken kabob looking thing that another guest got that looked amazing. Everyone there was so friendly. Also. They only take cash, so make sure to come prepared"
"CASH only! But their ramen and soups are delicious. Perfect comfort food for rainy days or late nights. There can be a crowd in the evenings and during lunch. So, be prepared to wait a bit."
"I love how the shop can accommodate plenty of customers with limited parking and restaurant spaces. The staff have quick service and the wait time for our food was less than 5 minutes. We first went there on a Sunday and tried the Sumo Saimin. Loved it! Went back the next day (Monday) to try a different menu, the Oxtail Saimin. This one was the bomb! If you wish to try the oxtail saimin, the shop only serves it during Mondays-Fridays. We were lucky they were open on MLK day! ❤️"
"This is liken to a good coffee shop attached to your favorite bowling alley. It is modest and unassuming with none of the flair of a hip trendy restaurant. It is like your aunt's home cooking if you drop in on her unannounced. Expect solid tasty comfort food, not fancy. You know there is something special here because they get packed!! There are techies, there are blue collars, there are moms with kids, there are visitors who look lost. Everyone comes here. No reservations. No checks. No credit cards. No bit coins. Old school. CASH ONLY."
