Kenji Burger Kapaa

"Even though I’ve been to Kauai many times, I’ve always skipped over Kenji Burger, dismissing it as a touristy stop. What a mistake that was. I tried their Japanese Burrito and Rainbow Burrito today, and they were both delicious with a great variety of fillings. The portion size for the price is very good, and beats what you’ll find at a typical sushi place on Kauai. Highly recommend for getting your sushi fix."

"Great local burger shop. We ate outside on the front porch, with a view of a famous fast food chain of hamburgers. Which will remain unnamed. As far as atmosphere, I had an eye to eye view of a beautiful roster, and a hen stole a French fry. Even the chicken crossed the road to eat here!"

"My wife and I were staying down the road from this spot. Wanting a quick bite to eat after checking out of our hotel lead us to Kenji. We ordered ahead online and got a nice $5 off coupon and a wait time of only 10-15 minutes. We opted for simple bacon cheeseburgers, which were made with Kauai grass fed beef. You could taste the difference in quality compared to burger shops on the mainland. We also tried the furikake fries, which are a must with any burger. The flavors were phenomenal and just what we needed for lunch that day. The restaurant itself is pretty small, with dining in the back. It was decently busy when we arrived. Overall, very delicious and would recommend."

"It was fine. My truffle burger was well done (I usually order mine medium rare, but I wasn't asked so I forget to mention it), and it and my son and husband's chicken "burgers" were drowning in sauce. The fries were crisp and hot, though, and they saved the meal! It was fun sitting on the back patio and shooting the encroaching chickens with the provided water bottles to keep them at bay."

"I went in and I was immediately overwhelmed because there were so many great choices. I ended up going with a lobster burrito and it definitely didn't disappoint. I got the furikake fries and my only complaint is that there wasn't enough sauce. I would definitely go back. I will probably go back tomorrow and try one of their burgers! And the right next door to a liquor store so what more could you want in life?"
